I was introduced to Paul Martin through a mutual frieend who was helping Martin organize/raise funding for his music watermarking company,Veronica Rose Productions. I agreed to make Martin a personal loan in the amount of $50,000.00 with an option to convert into the stock of VRP a my discretion. I chose not to convert, and VRP was apparently shuttered by Mr. Martin approximately 2 years later. Mr Martin continues to pursue music watermarking opportunites to try and create a commercially viable product within a different entity. The loan was originated in 9/1/2010. The loan was backed by three pieces of collateral, a 1996 Porsche, and 2 paintings. Mr Martin defaulted on the note over 3 years ago. Mr. Martin admits to selling the 1996 Porsche for $10,000 but refuses to remit the proceeds to me. He refuses to disclose any information regarding the paintings. I have had extensive email discussions with Martin about repaying his obligation. He has made many promises which he has reneged upon. Mr. Martin acknowledges the loan but refuses to make any type of a payment or sign an extension agreement to be backed by new collateral. Lately he has asserted that he was mislead about the loan, has called it "bogus", and claims that some of the responsibility for the loan should be borne by a third party who is not a paryt to the loan. Mr. Martin has made many assertions that are simply untrue, and have no basis in fact to justify his default on the loan, and his unwillingness to make any payments. I would be happy to discuss my experience with Mr. Martin, and provide documentation to anyone who has had a similar experience, or been asked to make an investment into one of his companies invoved with music watermarking technology.

There will be a hearing on a Motion for Summary Judgement in the case Kevin Hunter vs. Paul W. Martin individually and d/b/a Veronica Rose Productions, Inc, a California corp.: et al. The Causes of Action alleged against Paul W. Martin are: Breach of Written Contracrt, Conversion of Collateral, and Fraud. The Motion for Summary Judgement is scheduled to be heard on June 8, 2017 in the Santa Monica courthouse in Department N at 8:30am. There is a trial scheduled in the same venue on July 17,2017 at 8:30am. Anyone who has invested with Paul martin in Digsound and/or Veronica Rose Productions is welcome to attend, and observe the proceedings.

That's great news that your are suing him in superior court. He can only avoid being served for so long. I believe that you will get your money back. Because Martin is a career criminal and is constantly scamming people out of money, he will have money again. After you get a judgement (and you will), you can drain his bank accounts or put liens on his property.
Regarding his responses on this board - they're a waste of time. Why would anyone trust the word of a criminal? He had ONE musician post something in his defense. Only one? He keeps asking people to identify themselves and seems to believe this is coming from one person. It's not. There are many victims of Paul Martin's fraud.
Hey Paul Martin...where did all of the money go that you scammed from investors? If you are innocent and were a legitimate business, show us some professional spreadsheets of how the money was allocated.
Again, I urge all victims to contact the police or the FBI to top him from continuing to commit fraud. I have spoken to the SEC and the FBI about him and he IS being investigated. They take their time. If I were Paul Martin, I'd be scared to death.

Paul Martin has been sued in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. This lawsuit is in response to Paul Martin's default on a $50,000.00 loan over 3 years ago, and his persistent refusal to repay the loan or negotiate a resolution. Mr. Martin has evaded service both personally, and by certified mail. Mr Martin indicated by email that he would provide the address of his attorney to which a summons could be sent. After numerous requests Mr. Martin provided the address of an attorney who is not representing Mr. Martin, and has no authorization to accept a summons on his behalf. I am awaiting court approval in order to publish the summons.
If anyone has invested/loaned money to Paul Martin, and has had a similar experience I would be happy to compare notes and share documentation. With further potential plaintiffs, and documentation there are other potential actions which could be filed against Mr. Martin.

I'm sorry to hear that you are ANOTHER victim of Paul Martin's fraud. Don't waste your time trying to negotiate with him. He is a complete sociopath and will not cooperate.
If you want to get your money back, get an attorney and sue him immediately. File a police report. Contact the attorney general and file a report to have him investigated. https://oag.ca.gov.
Paul Martin belongs in prison. I really believe that eventually, he will end up there.
