Walk in Payless Car Sales the salesman was happen assist me with my questions and other information. Handed me an application to run credit report. I was told my credit score wasn't high enough and then he asked asked about a co-signer. My daughter was told that her credit score high enough and she could get the car on her own.

We arranged to insurance coverage, a down payment loan and progress where we could drive off the lot.

Since neither my daughter or myself drove to work, my daughter drove to her friend's house (approximately 40 miles) and allowed her father to use the on two or three occassions locally.

The battery went dead. My son took the car back to Payless Car Sales and told them the battery and engine light was on. They replaced the battery but I had to schedule an appointment for the engine light.

After having the car for three weeks, the calls started coming in to call Payless Car Sales. My daughter and myself went up there and talk to another salesman. Filled out application, showed proofed of auto insurance and was told everything was alright. The very next day we received three calls: 1) threating to come pick the car or reported it stolen by us; 2) Financial Manager wanted more information; and 3) from the original salesman. The I called back no one knew about anything.

The third day the original salesman call and asked my daughter to come in. When my daughter arrived, he told her she needed a co-signed and an additional down payment for the car. My daughter's girlfriend was with so she stated that she would co-sign. Everything was again approved.

On the forth day, the original salesman call and asked my daughter and her friend to come in. After sitting down with the salesman, my daughter was asked for larger downpayment. By this time, my daughter was getting sick of Payless Car Sales and she told the salesman to take the car back and give her a ride home.

The reason why they needed a larger downpayment: 1) my daughter had an out of state driver's license -- she changed her driver's license two days later to own current address. 2) Her place of employment and college where out of state.

On the fifth day I contracted the Financial Officer about what had happen. I asked about the payday loan I had gotten as a down payment. He stated he would call me back. I waited four days and called him back again. This time I was told that payday loan cover the cost of renting the car, mileage, a black mark on bummper (which was on the car when we purchased it) and other expense. What expense??? He then advised me to contact the salesman.

After two weeks of calling and the salesman haven't returned any calls. It has been a totally waste of time deal with Payless Car Sales. The do any thing to get you into car and at the same time plan on you returning the car by needing for information, co-signer, and a larger down payment. If a person gets approval for the car, where does all the additional stuff come from.
