That Ebay does NOT use or authorize ANY type of a "drop off location". I guess you figured out that it was a scam. Why didn't you just list them yourself on Ebay? Anytime with Ebay/Paypal there is a complaint regarding a fraudulent transaction, they freeze all accounts in question. They are making sure that the buyers who sent you money for those items and did not get them are getting the money back they paid you. [If any]. Oh well, better luck next time.

For the last tim e I had the xbox's...in my posssesion....In my apartment. Mine mine mine...I had them they were not someone elses off somewhere else. There was an ebay location where they would post the package for you...mail it for those who cannot understand that. They left with the packages. Period. Everything seemed legit. And I really dont know how to explain drop off any more. Yes they had things to sell for other people...There were people in there giving them things when I went. They had you fill out forms and such for your merchandise. So I was not the only one. I also under stand It was my fault I guess for not knowing it was a scam??? And no I did not go after my buyers...I am working with them and I am paying them back. I completely understand me owing paypal money....I just dont get why they out everything that had already been compoleted on hold...how they can take funds back and make ppls accounts negative I dont understand. So I guess if they were to take it off hold anything I bought on ebay ...id be charged for fraud for ..for taking back the funds after I got the product even though paypal issued the hold not me???? That there is my issue. Not the fact that I owe money.

I have seen many independent stores of varying names that offer services similar to that of The UPS Store, Fedex Kinkos, etc. I've also seen some such stores advertising themselves as a "ebay mailer" or "ebay drop-off" (don't remember if that was the exact verbage or not, but that was definitely the message they were trying to convey). The idea, I guess, is to encourage ebay and/or other auction sellers to use their store as a place to post their packages. If that is what she (original poster) is talking about, then I suppose she used the services of such a place and they never mailed her packages and quietly closed business. OR, She means she used one of those dropshippers (none of what are owned, endorsed or operated by ebay), paid them and they never sent the items...I dunno. I agree the OP needs to clarify what she is talking about. Regarding her paypal complaint, I can honestly say I've no clue.

Ebay DOES NOT have any "Drop Off Locations". Where did you even get this from? Did you go after the seller that you bought the merch from? After all you were selling something that you did not actually have in your possession right? There is no rip off here on the parts of Ebay or PayPal. You ripped yourself off. You tried leveraging someone elses merchandise for profit and got burnt. I really would like more info on this alleged Ebay Drop Off location. This is a new one. I have been an Ebay member since 2001 and have never seen an Ebay Drop Off location. Do tell.

This sounds like a major blunder on your part. If you sold an item, all that's left to do is mail it. This can either be done by USPS or a company like FedEx, UPS or DHL. The only "Ebay drop off locations" I have seen are some retail places where people will sell your stuff for you at a commission, but would not be using your info to sell the product. Can you give more detail about this "Drop off" spot? It may be beneficial for others to not fall for this scam. In this case, Paypal did the right thing as unfortunate as it is for you. The buyers did not get their products, therefore their money must be refunded. As a result, Paypal is not going to take the loss for $1200, so they come after you. Tips for the future if you decide to sell online: 1. ONLY Accept Paypal or similar payment method. Do not accept personal checks. 2. Only send product after receiving payment. 3. Do not use any places other than above mentioned companies for sending your items. They are reputable and have been around for a long time. USPS (www.USPS.gov) is not going out of business and usually are the cheapest method for shipping. 4. Spend the extra 65 cents and get a delivery confirmation so you have proof that the item was delivered. Keep all receipts and etc from the shipper. Sorry for the bad experience. I have made mistakes in the past and just have to accept them as expensive lessons learned.

I took the packaged to the ebay drop off site. The last time I went back they were gone. They left with my xboxs and nobody got them.

You said: "To make a long story short the place they were sent from turned out to be a fake ebay drop off location and I got scammed big time." So, you were selling Xboxs you didn't own. So why would ebay or pay pal be ripping you off?
