I sold a tea caddy $325 with shipping $382.00 tracking information given and label purchased through ebay shipping. Man files a complaint for non-receipt the tracking shows the package passed through customs in NYC on January 14th and should be in Russia. Ebay refunded him the money overdrawing my account the tracking shows the item is still in transit and I am out the $382 and the original tea caddy.
I checked his feedback left for others noticed another USA Seller had a claim against him a week or two ago for $1300 he tried to get over on this guy on the same item that he didn't pay for and the seller relisted it only to have him win it again, he paid for the item this time but the Seller refused to do business with him. That Seller was suspended for a week from ebay with a 99.4% feedback rating and over 4000 positive sales.
Now it's me, I forward the information from the post office that states that delivery confirmation in Russia does not happen, the USA can only track the package until it leaves this Country, I also found out from the post office that Russia doesn't even scan the items so anything going there you can consider gone, you will never know if the person received the item or not. After investigating further his user ID claims he is from Armenia, his item and paypal address are Moscow.
But I am the one screwed here, I shipped the item, I have proof it was shipped and went through customs and I am out the item and the $382. I am going to file a complaint with the attorney general's office in Florida and with the internet fraud division of the FBI this is BS this guy has 32 feedbacks and is stealing from sellers by claiming non receipt and getting the items and being reimbursed by ebay.
As far as I am concerned it's theft by deception and ebay is an accomplice to the criminal activities of this person. I have e-mailed the CEO of Ebay and Paypal and have gotten no response. I am currently appealing their decision but don't hold out much hope because they never side with the Seller. Even though their own "Seller Protection" states that proof of shipment and/or delivery entitles the Seller to protection, they don't stand behind their own rules. It's all crap.
Wish me luck I am not getting screwed again by ebay and paypal.
