PayPal is a deceptive ripoff the business that doesn't give a dam. Mountain View, California
Beware of PayPal.com holding your financial information hostage!! After a dispute in which I was ripped off by a seller (sent money, they didn't send item), PayPal gave me an initial refund. But, then the seller complained about having money taken from his account so they gave the money back to him and put my account on restricted status. Now, they won't allow me to cancel my account. I wanted to cancel since they screwed me out of the previous dispute.
Now, they keep trying to get me to send various financial info (credit card/bank statements, driver's license, and a signed affidavit). I since sent that info in just to get it over with. But, now, they said that the information is good enough. This is out of control. All I want to do is close my account and have them send me my $6 balance!!
But, they want to hold my account for hostage until I send them all of my personal and financial information. Beware of giving your financial information to this company (or other company's for that matter). Beware of the dark side of the Internet!!! I was once a big believer in PayPal but please stay away from this company. They think that they own your information once you give it to them.
