Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Payscape Advisors at first was a responsive vendor selling merchant credit card services to our small business. Joel Darby convinced us to use them. For more than 5 years we used them, but lately kept receiving lower quotes from major national competitors. When asked to compete, they would say yes the would offer us lower rates - then never produce them. Repeated requests by phone message and email to Mr. Darby and his inside support person were unsuccessful, so we decided to terminate. At this point we had a good relationship and wanted to leave on a positive note.

However, when a termination notice was sent by email, no one actioned the request. No one called, no one responded, and no one said anything from Payscape. We confirmed the emails were received, but they were ignored. The next month our business bank account was debited account maintenance charges, and a third party they hired to allow us to use our iPhones to swipe credit cards was not notified by them that we terminated, and they debited our account another monthly fee. When we began to squeal, they pretended they were waiting for us to confirm our new pricing. Baloney.

Then Joel Darby sent an email with the Cancellation Department fax number, telling us they require us to send a fax on our company letterhead cancelling. Turns out the number is a voice phone, and not their termination number. Either they don't give a darn, or are just plain sloppy. Either way we have had to invest extra hours trying to cancel their service and stop account fees. if you have a chance, stay away. We always wondered about who we were doing business with. When we called their local office, it turned out to be unmanned. When we called the help desk, they clearly were not the same company. Either the local Payscape office is an local sales agency working on commission. Either way, stay away. Go with a better company.

Joel of Payscape Advisors called and apologized for any miscommunications between us that he may have caused. His company appears to have given him the authority to resolve any outstanding issues relating to closing our account. I believe him, and based on his word that his company is going to waive any account termination penalty charges, I will be satisfied. Our communication broke down, resulting in my frustration and leaving a negative report. Joel has been honest and I believe sincere trying to 'fix' the situtation. As far as I am concerned, we are all ok now.
