As is plainly stated on our Customer Service page, "We highly encourage you to order samples of the product you are interested in to avoid returns. For loose pebble, buy the smallest box available as a sample. No returns on loose pebble, loose glass, single sample sheets, or any less than 11 sheets of the same tile will be accepted."
To further clarify, we provide free shipping on everything, this includes samples. What that translates to is a zero profit, sometimes even a loss after labor, on samples. We do this to ensure our customer is going to be satisfied with the product, particularly because the majority of what we sell is a natural stone product.
