I placed an order through activeforever.com back in October for a set of aluminum Peddle Master portable hand controls for my elderly grandfather. The handles were bent when the product was received, we assumed they were made with the slight curve. They were poorly packaged with no legible instructions.

We had to make multiple attempts to receive an RMA # from activeforever.com, after finally receiving it we shipped them back unused. We received an email from activeforever.com stating that the manufacturer (peddlemaster.com) was unable to refund the money due to damaged goods.

We argued with the owner of peddlemaster, he stated that the box wasn't damaged but the controls were bent. It was the original package that the controls were sent in when we received them bent, no bubble wrap, just loosely boxed.

We even pleaded our case with activeforever.com but to no resolve, they said the best they could do was send us another set of controls. What if we received them bent? No thanks!

Be aware that if you return a damaged item to peddlemaster.com, Rick will accuse YOU of damaging them! It's how he makes money off of elderly handicapped people on a fixed income right before the holidays. Merry Christmas peddlemaster.com & activeforever.com!

activeforever.com refunds money for use on their site to elderly couple. peddlemaster.com could learn a thing or two from activeforever.com's customer support. Special thanks to Surina & Jessica for all your help. Thanks for believing us & giving us a refund!

Here is the email correspondence to an from the customer regarding this transaction: Email from Jean Connor dated 11/17/2008 (one month after the item was delivered to customer) Dear Customer Service, I recently purchased a peddle master & unfortunately my husband is unable to get use to them. We would like to return them. Can you please send me an RMA # or the steps on how to do this. The product is still in it's original box & not defective in any way. Thank you. ActiveForever's Reply to customer dated 11/17/2008 (the same day the customer requested to return this item): Please return the item in its original packaging to: Peddle Master Attn: Returns 3597 Dilley Circle Johnstown, CO 80534 ActiveForever recommends that you return the items to the address above in a track-able fashion or with insurance so you will have recourse if the package is lost or damaged in transit. The RMA number must be written very clearly on your shipping label on the outside of your shipping box, not on the box itself. Once the products you ship back to us are confirmed received, in like-new condition, unused, with all the original packaging, a refund minus a 15% processing fee will be applied to your account. We can waive the processing fee if you choose to make and exchange or choose store credit. This RMA number will expire after 7 days and can not be renewed. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. The customer emailed ActiveForever on 11/19/2008 stating that they did not receive the return instructions so we called them and provided the return instructions over the phone. On 12/01/2008 ActiveForever received a call from Peddle Master and was informed that the return was received but it was damaged (appeared to have been run over by a car) and therefore a refund could not be issued. ActiveForever notified the customer of the damaged return. If the customer has purchased insurance on their return as advised in the return instructions we would recommend they file a damaged freight claim with the shipping company they used. ActiveForever.com nor Peddle Master would ever ship something damaged and if an item is damaged in transit we would file a claim with our shipper. The customer never notified ActiveForever.com that the item had been damaged in transit, they stated, The product is still in its original box & not defective in any way. It is apparent the customer is trying to bully ActiveForever.com and Peddle Master into refunding them for an item that was not in the condition needed to be in order to receive a refund.
