I purchased a 2004 Ford Sporttrac on August 14th. On August 18th, I made my first call to schedule the complete detail that was not done at time of possession, to correct a vibration in the front end @ 55-65 MPH, replace the deeply gouged windshield & receive the certificate for an Environmental Package that I paid $1495.00 for which was to include undercoating, paint protection & Scotchguard. I was not told this package was optional & was lead to believe that it was already on the vehicle.

On August 27th, after four calls by me & no return calls, I made arrangements to take my Sporttrac in on August 31st. I was informed at that time that the Environmental Package HAD NOT been completed.

On September 1st & 2nd - Two calls later, by me, I found out that the windshield had been replaced & it needed 24 hours to cure before going to Ziebart for the Environmental Package.

On September 7th, I made arrangements to pick up my vehicle. The Sporttrac was not detailed (there was still glue on the windows from the window stickers), the windshield sealant was not wiped off the front fender, & the windshield now leaks water & air.

On September 8th, I contacted Ziebart to verify my vehicle was there for the Environmental Package to be completed. At that time, I found out the the Environmental Package costs $759.00 for a walk-in customer & the dealership is charging $1495.00!!! They were told to undercoat my vehicle only. Ziebart personnel told me that cost was $309.00. I called the General Manager @ Peffley & demanded a meeting.

On September 9th, I still had not heard from the General Manager & called again. We set a meeting for 7:30PM this evening. I told him day by day how incompetent his staff was & their lack of customer service due to not ever returning phone calls.

As of today, September 14th, the only thing that the dealership is willing to compensate me for is the $1495.00 for the Environmental Package & still have the package put on my vehicle. I have been without a vehicle since August 31st & do not know if the vibration has been fixed or the windshield repaired.

When you took that environmental package for $1495 you might as well have thrown $1495 out the window. I am a former car dealer who never padded the window sticker. Scotchguard-buy it for $7.50 at Wal-Mmart and spray the seats yourself. Just like the dealer does. Undercoating-May void the warranty on a lot of new cars. New cars today just don't rust. Manufacturers realized that letting air into door panels etc. lets any moisture dry up so they put drain holes in the doors and eliminated inner fenders that trapped moisture. Undercoating blocks those drain holes and voids the warranty. Check your owners manual you may have made things worse. The last item paint sealant=it's the biggest ripoff. The dealer does NOTHING and lets the factory shine come through. Youve been had.
