Also, the price keeps growing and they won't give you a fixed price for the build. Beware - they could take 10 years to build your house and your stuck waiting all this time and your price could increase during this time!
If you need a builder, find a buillder with a good reputation and will give you a fixed price with a firm date the home will be finished.

I work for for Pennyworth Homes and to our knowledge we have never contracted to build a home for a "John" from Nashville, Tennessee. "John" is correct in stating that we do not guarantee a completion date, however that is fairly standard in scatter lot construction.
