PEOPLES CREDIT FIRST is a big ripoff. Tampa, Florida
Lied that it is a Platinum Master Card and can be used anywhere around the world. What I got is a card and catalog to order from .....
Received a letter/certificate in early August 2002 saying I was approved for a $5,000.00 credit limit for a Platinum Master Credit Card and all I need to do is sign the certificate and send $40.00 for the card and another $49.00 if I wanted it rushed. They said it can be used anywhere around the world, what a ripoff.
In 4 weeks, all I got was a card that does not look anything like a legitimate credit card and a catalog with order forms to send to them. What nerve they have to even ask for more money when you order from their catalog.
Well, I became their victim, never again. Be careful everyone, I have been getting numerous phone calls late at night asking for checking accounts so they can debit at a certain date with a promise you will get your card within 4-6 weeks. Do not fall for it. I did and paid for it.
