Please contact Peoples First Financial as it is difficult to investigate these claims when an alias is used.

They change it constantly - its part of the scam and in some cases they steal names from REAL LEGITIMATE companies that have nothing to do with the people who scammed you. You did not find complaints - because no one had posted one yet. Once someone has posted a complaint that business name is no use to them anymore. The Federal Trade Commission website is an excellent resource to use when researching a company and what it claims it can do. Its more what they claim to be able to do, rather then the company name that you need to search on. The BBB would not have been any help at all --even legitimate businesses that have problems are not correctly noted in BBB files. The dues money is more important then the consumer. Read the info here on ROR http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/001/ripoff0001343.htm

I did check out the company prior to contracting with them however I did not check the BBB. Had I done that I would not have contracted with them. No consumer reports (like "Ripoff Report) showed any information until after I had already contracted with Peoples First.

I just spoke with my primary mortgage company ASC and they informed me that they have received no information from Peoples First Financial. That means that for the $3000 I paid them, they did absolutely no work. It is interesting that they determined they could not help me when they did not even communicate with the mortgage company. I worked out a plan with ASC in one 15 minute phone call. Thanks for nothing Peoples First Financial.

This is where you failed yourself The Federal Trade Commission website www.ftc.gov has a lot of information on how to avoid being scammed by these companies that are taking advantage of the current crisis - but have no intention of doing anything but take your money. You can also file complaints with the FTC about this company.

Hing from customer relations called me yesterday to tell me that there is nothing they can do for me because I do not have enough income. They initially had me approved with my unemployment income but now ASC won't accept that (according to them). I am out the $3000 that I paid them for nothing. I have been informed that they have to pay that back as they were unable to help me. I have contacted the Michigan Attorney Generals Office, the California Attorney Generals Office, The Office of the Governor of California, the current U.S. Attorney Generals Office and the incoming Attorney Generals Office. I also discovered, too late, that Peoples First Financial is "F" rated with the BBB. I have submitted a report to them as well. Do not get involved with this organization; they are poison.
