Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
May 16, 2005, Monday, I had heard a lot of very good things about the homeopathic and naturalistic approach of this pharmacy to pharmacy in addition to the pharmaceuticals from the BIG Pharmacy companies. It struck me as very nice and very unusual and I wanted to write an article about it. I was looking to see what sort of remedies I might be able to get for myself and several friends.

I am mobility impaired so I had my brother park in the handicapped parking lot with my sticker displayed and then I went inside. I asked if there was anyone in here who could help me. I was IGNORED! The young men and there were two of them behind teh counter with dark-colored smocks on, stared at me like I was a big cockroach and they wished I would go away. They were extremely reude.

I stood next to where I thought you would have to stand SINCE NOTHING WAS CLEARLY LABELLED WHERE TO PUT YOUR ORDER IN AND WHERE TO PICK IT UP and the people behind the counter would look at me then play like they didn't see me. I was wearing a nice black polo shirts and nice black carpenter's jeans and nioce black clogs and I had just had a nice hairstyle but I was over 50 years old so there may have been some age discrimination that AUSTIN TEXAS is becoming notorious for.

People would come in the store and almost push me aside and they would be waited on. I wasn't aware that you had to have a private membership to be waited on here. Then I realized that maybe a mobility impaired American Indian female over 50 was NOT wanted in this store. And Austin is supposed to be so culturally diverse and celebrating the ethnic and raciali differences...

I waited 15 minutes in there before I left the store. There was NO ONE on the floor to wait on anyone and if there had been, they were sure NOT going to wait on me. Well, it's their store and they can choose not to serve me. I didn't see anyone but young white people behind the counter. The store was NOT busy either. I was the only person there. A few white men came in and the people behind teh counter fawned all over them. When I tried to get service, they IGNORED me as usual.

I called the HQ and told them what had happened to me. Their attitude seemed to be if you aren't RICH, young, white and beautiful, then you can GO TO HELL... We don't WANT people like YOU in our store.

Homeopathy is supposed to be affordable too. People who can't afford doctors and the usual medical establishment use this but I think I would rather go to a Mexican healer or curendero than put up with this horrible treatment and s****..

Sorry, but that is not how we do things in Texas. Please don't embarrass the other citizens of this state by saying such nonsense. We try to have a little thing called southern hospitality, maybe you should look into it sometime. The original person complaining says "I am mobility impaired so I had my brother park in the handicapped parking lot with my sticker displayed and then I went inside." Obviously that means they are handicapped, parked in a handicapped parking space, and had a handicapped parking badge. There is no reason to berate or belittle someone because they can't spell properly. Probably not everyone has the high education, etiquette and manners that you have, Stacey. Finally, just to clarify for the original person making this complaint, don't feel too bad. At least you didn't lose your money on homeopathic medicine, which is a total fraud. http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/homeo.html

I've been caught I spelled handicapped - handicaped but you spelled individual - invidiual and "When I see a physical able bodied invidiual..." should be "physically abled body..." Oops:)

Stacey, I am a 39 year old disabled air traffic controller from Atlanta, GA who was injured 5 years ago in an on the job injury. Your comment about the fact that Anonymous' driver parked in the handicaped space was so far out in left field I felt that I had to respond. When I, or other disabled individuals, have others drive them to the doctors or the pharmacy and we have them drop us off in the handicap space they are there for us, helping us. When we come out of the doctors or pharmacy we do not want to walk all over creation (because some of us cannot) to find where our driver has moved to because he is not the "disabled driver," hell a lot of us cannot drive and this is our only means of transportation. Now I totally agree, if this driver was the only person in the car, he should not be using the handicaped card or plate so he/she can get a better parking spot. This outright INFURIATES me. I on more than on occasion have confronted people who park in the handicap spot because "they will only be there a minute" or "they just have a few things to pick up." GRRRRRRRR. This persons driver was doing nothing wrong or illegal, waiting for his/her disabled passenger to return. Be thankful that you are not disabled and do not have the problems that a lot of others have. As far as using the "race card", neither of us were at this particular event, so we do not know what really happened. I agree that it is used FAR TOO MUCH and this is a MAJOR problem that is holding this country back. People need to be accountable for their actions (what a concept) and if they feel that they are being discriminated against, speak up, it is usually something else, and NOT your race! Also lighten up on the spelling mistakes. Maybe this person is not as bright as you and I, and could not afford the proper education that we had. At least she spoke english, which is more than I can say for a lot of others in this country. Regards,

Question. When I see a physical able bodied invidiual in a handicapped space I get very angry -Is your brother handicapped?

You say that you are impaired - "I am mobility impaired so I had my brother park in the handicapped parking lot with my sticker displayed and then I went inside" When I see a physical able bodied invidiual in a handicapped space I get very angry -Is your brother handicapped? What is your disability? "The young men and there were two of them behind teh counter with dark-colored smocks" Learn to spell "stood next to where I thought you would have to stand SINCE NOTHING WAS CLEARLY LABELLED WHERE TO PUT YOUR ORDER IN AND WHERE TO PICK IT UP and the people behind the counter would look at me then play like they didn't see me. I was wearing a nice black polo shirts and nice black carpenter's jeans and nioce black clogs and I had just had a nice hairstyle but I was over 50 years old so there may have been some age discrimination that AUSTIN TEXAS is becoming notorious" Once again learn to spell! Do not pull the discrimination card - That dog don't hunt! That is how we do things in Texas!
