Perfect Prime dot org Free Gift isn't free California
An email under the guise of Amazon came to my inbox, offering a FREE gift of eye cream. I would pay for shipping. I ordered my FREE gift of eye cream...and it didn't go through - so I tried again. Later I noticed I had "magically" order two different products and was charged for shipping on two different products. I let that slide, as there was no real way to cancel.
The eye cream was deliveried. Nothing magically about it...but I didn't expect it would.
A couple of weeks later I find two charges to my bank account. One for 89.95 and the other was for 87.94. I called my bank - we did a conference call with Perfect Prime. First I was offered 25% discount - then 50% discount - then a 75%. I was told about some bogus "Terms and Conditions" that I signed off on. There was no box - I didn't sign up for a subcription. Very deceptive way of doing business.
I was able to get back 75% of the bogus charges.
Lesson learned the hard way: Nothing is for FREE. I do wonder if Amazon.com knows these guys are using their name?
