in august 2006 i was contacted by this magazine. I totally don't remember anything ahout the conversation at that time. all i know, in september 2007 we changed the credit card . Few days later, i had a call from that magazine saying that there are payments due. i was amazed to know that they had been charging me around $49 each month since august 2006.

we moved from that our apartment in august 2006 to another one,till we finally settled down in our new home. Everytime i move from a location, i do the forwarding address. but i didn't get anything from this company.

Few days later ,they contacted me, and let me hear a recorded conversation of me and the customer service dated august 2006. i told them fine, since i hear my voice, for sure i misunderstood the whole thing,because i never buy magazines.the subscription was to pay for only 1 year the subscription of 3 years. and since i missed the first year, i would like to start receiving the magazines to my new address for the 2 years left.

they said there is no cancellation policy, so either i pay the rest which is 3 months of payments($150) or i won't get anything. when i told them that in the recorded conversation, they didn't mention anything about cancellation policy, she said well, when you agree to the payment, it means you are committed to it. i said no, there is nothing as committment in the converstion. but i told her i want to talk to my husband about this.

meanwhile, i did my own investigation. i sent letters to the previous addresses, with my phone number on them. both of them called me back, saying that they are not receiving anything.

i called the magazine and told them, since you were not sending any magazines to the previous address, i want you to refund all my money that you charged on my credit card, which is around $600. they said, "we have to talk to the publishers, and see what is the cancellation policy."

when i talk to the magazine, there is one lady, i always ask for her,because she is following up with me about this matter.i waited 1 week than i called and i asked for that lady,she didn't talk to me, but rather left a message saying that she is still waiting for the publishers. than i called 4 days later,

they said that the lady is not there. than i called immediatly and ask for the manager , for my surprise, the customer service agent,was verry rude and said"we told you that we will call you when we talk to the publishers.maybe they are as busy as we are" and she hang up the phone. i was really mad, i called her back and told her that this is not a way to talk to customers, and she is rude. now i 'm still waiting for them to call, hopefully, they will.
