Personal Guard 2009 Unable to get my money back! Internet
I kept getting a pop-up from Personal Guard 2009 that my computer had many viruses (even though I had virus protection with Norton, or so I thought) & needed to register with this company to get rid of them. Thinking they were associated with Windows, I fell for it and paid $49.95 for their service. (I feel so stupid!)
Long story short, they're a fraud, took my money, had to get my computer restored by a local person, and now I can't get my money back. The phone number listed through my bank for the charge is an international number, not toll free! This company also charged an additional $1.40 fee.
I'm going to cancel my debit / credit card so they can't charge me again, but does anyone know how I can get my money back? I don't dare access their site again - I don't trust them!
Anyone else fall for these jerks? Whether I get my money back or not, I just wanted to say don't be stupid like I was and fall for these jerks!
