Complaint Review: Pet Express Transport Ltd. Or Pet Services Express - Limbe

My experience with this scam company is exactly like the experiences these other people had. I found a Yorkie on www.oodle.com, contacted the alleged buyer, she asked me the same questions about whether I had other dogs, was I going to breed this dog, would I send her pictures, etc. She really almost had me because just like Melissa, I really, really wanted this dog. We ust lost our 15.5 Golden Lab last week, and I was looking for a new puppy to love and cherish, to fill the huge void in our home since we lost him. These people prey on our emotions, especially when it comes to our dogs. This is the sickest of sick people, anyone who would use dogs to scam anybody is the worst type of criminal in the world.

If they'll do this, they'll do anything. It's digusting. And I'm sitting here wondering if they even have any dogs, have they really delivered any dogs, or is this just all a big scam. At this point I'm really hoping they really don't deliver dogs, that they never touch these poor harmless creatures, that this is a true scam.

So the alleged seller and I went back and forth 4 maybe 5 times through email. When I finally got to the point that I received the email from Express Pet Transfer, it was so phony I laughed. But by this time, I knew in my heart that this was a bad dream. Bad English, incorrect spelling, bad clip art, and then when I got to the part about how I was supposed to pay them, it wasn't funny anymore.

They ask you to pay for your dog using a Western Union/Moneygram/Wal-Mart Money Gram or similar. I'm hoping that with the advent of eBay and Amazon.com and all the other auction sites, everyone knows that you NEVER pay for anything using Western Union or similar. That's the No. 1, first big red flag that this is a scam. There's absolutely no way to track the payment, it's cash out of your bank account, and in most cases, these people also know how to break into your bank account once they get the money transfer information. So they go back in and empty out your bank account.

Why do I know this?? Because I paid a scammer many years ago on eBay using Western Union, and I ended up losing $2,000. Not only did I not get the supposed goods I purchased but they went back and charged me again for the goods, and by the time it registered in my bank account and my brain, the money was gone, nowhere to be found. And of course, I never received anything from them. And there's absolutely no to go after criminals like this. This has to be stopped before anybody else gets financially scammed and emotionally spent.

Here's my reply to the email. I'm pretty sure I'll never hear from them again, or from the alleged seller. I can't believe people are using dogs to screw people. It makes me sick. They should be caught and put in prison for life.

I'm sorry about the delay getting back to you but your email to me ended up in my Junk folder. I've read through your Bill of Laden/Invoice, and I regret to inform you that I don't make any type of payments for anything using Western Union or Moneygram, ever. Two years ago, I was scammed out of nearly $2,000 because I made payment for something I purchased on eBay using Western Union. After my initial payment to the company/seller (which was in Europe, out of this country), the company never sent me the goods I purchased, and before I was able to do anything about not receiving my goods, realizing I had been scammed, the "seller" went back and was able to pull my bank information from Western Union and charged me again for the full price. It all happened within 4 -5 days because I was supposed to receive my good Express, so when I didn't get them within the normal timeframe, I started inquiring, then realized I was scammed. But that's plenty of time for any one to get away with it. Not only did I lose $2,000, but I ended up having to close down my checking account, opening a new one because my Western Union account was attached to my bank. Worst of all, I had absolutely no recourse at all legally or with eBay because I paid using Western Union.

I don't want you to think that I'm accusing you of anything or even thinking anything like this of you, but after my horrible experience with Western Union, I was advised by so many people not to pay using Western Union ever again. When I did research after this happened to me, I learned that this Western Union/MoneyGram thing is a pretty common scam. Bottom line, no matter how much I want this little Yorkie, I will not pay for her using Western Union, I'll never do that again.

Is there any other way I can pay for the puppy? COD?? Or partial payment and the rest COD?? I'm willing to be flexible because I really would like this little puppy but like I said, I won't pay using Western Union or Moneygram. Please advise if there's any other way I can pay you. I'll look forward to hearing from you.

I'm certain that this is the end of this little Yorkie, and I'm very sad about the whole thing because I'm still mourning the death of my Golden Lab, and I fell in love with this little dog, she was adorable. But I also know the picture was probably cut out of some Yorkie Breeder book. But I also know there are so many people out there who love their dogs, who are trusting, good people, and they're going to fall for these particular scam artists, get hurt financial, and emotionally devastated when they don't get their beloved puppy and lose their money. Somebody gets hurt badly, especially when it comes to our favorite companion.

We need to do everything we can to get the word out about this company. When I typed in both names into Bing, Yahoo, and Ask search engines, nothing came up. When I searched in Google, the first hit was Melissa's Ripoff Report, so people who do research the company aren't always going to get this Ripoff Report information. And there are so many people who won't go the extra mile to get as much information as possible especially when they're hoping and praying their puppy is for real.
