I browsed the internet for puppies on sale in my area, I found an advert for pug puppies!, I had always wanted one so I emailed the person (as there was no other information).

He emailed me back with his contact number and this...

'i am giving out them for free since they were owned and taken care of by my late wife whom i lost to a drunk driver couple of weeks ago. As a result, i have relocated to dundee scotland due the mobile nature of my job and right now i can't take proper care of the puppies which was a sole responsibility of my late wife. They really do remind me of her sad memories all the time i look at them and hurts deeply. So, my greatest desire is to find someone who can properly take care of the puppies and if you can, i can arrange for delivery if you cannot come right up here .'

I replied to this, I then called his mobile and after exchanging adresses I said that Scotland was too far for me to go to collect the puppy I wanted, he then said that he could arrange for the puppy to be delivered to me.

First he said that delivery to Birmingham would cost 160, when I then said that I couldn't afford to pay that, he said that I should pay 90 and he would cover the rest.

I thought WOW and agreed. He arranged delivery and gave me the company name and telephone number - a mobile. I was then sent an email by the 'delivery company' who said that I had to send them 90, in order for them to contact the UKC Kennel Club to retrieve a delivery card so that the puppy could be sent to me. This money had to be sent via Money Gram to Cameroon as their office in Dundee Scotland was going through auditing and reconstruction. I sent them an email asking if i could pay cash upon delivery and they insisted that the method they stated was the only way I could get the puppy.

I started to become suspicious when I searched the delivery company on the internet, the website didn't seem very professional, and every time I called the mobile number the person who answered had a somali accent the same as the man 'giving away' the puppy.

When I asked to speak to the manager - I was told that he was off sick!.

I thought to myself that this didn't seem cosure - why couldn't he find someone in scotland to take the free puppies off his hands? and why was it that every time I called the company they seemed to know who I was without me even saying my name?.

Following this, I sent the company an email saying that I thought they were scamming me and that they wouldn't receive any money from me - I haven't yet had a reply.

An update, I received an email asking me to 'RING' the company, failing to do that they called me and asked me about the payment - I said I wasn't paying and to send the 'puppy' back to whoever left it with them and they hung up!.
