Piedmont Construction Co. Owner Steve Wallace Was contracted to build a boatdock, and ripped me off Roxboro North Carolina
Piedmont Construction Co. Owned by Steve Wallace, agreed to build a boatdock for me exactly like the model he showed me in 30 days.
I paid him 1/3rd when he started, the post were agreed to be driven in with a machine, I visited the site in two days, material was all over the grass, two kids about 20yrs old were driving the post in manually, and Wallace had gone to the beach for a week.
In the framing stages,I noticed the roof truss had been notched in the wrong place,then recut, the structure was off square from front to rear 6" , the piles were not braced properly, the roof was not braced properly, shingles on the roof were not spaced as they should be, no black paper was used, it leaked and half of it blew off in the lake. The office door had a crack 3/4 " at the top on one side, and would not lock.
His employee's parked on my grass, left building material on it and killed it. I had an Inspector state lic. to write a report...it said, "It would be less expensive to tear this dock down and rebuild it, than to repair it."
There were no state/county inspections on a boatdock except the electric. We tried to sue him but found that he had nothing in his corporation or his name to get.
Don' ever hire this rip off con to build anything or you will get the same treatment.
