i have 9 of these baby's for my sales team lets get right to the CON: The Batteries are Un-changeable....so i have had to toss out three 995's this year alone simply due to the fact that the batteries stopped holding a charge and you CAN NOT REPLACE IT. You have to Toss it in the Trash, your headset ( $80 each, average 3 per year tossed), not due to the headset not working right, but due to a $6.00 battery that you can not replace. Do the math it adds up over time. And Plantronics is literally calling you the buyer, a dumb-***. Because they will sell you more at a discount off the MSRP....now, who thinks this is good business sense? I bought a gaming headset wireless usb w/mic for $99, great sound and voice over the mic, just as good as the 995. And Surprise!!!! the batteries are replaceable, just two AA's....Now this gaming head set has lasted 3 years....just need to change the batteries. So why would i buy my Sales Team more 995's or any Plantonics that have to be tossed in the Trash every time the battery goes out. Sorry Plantronics, but until this issue is solved, no more of your products will be used in my company. You must REALLY think consumers are Stupid! Pros: Great sound, Great Product, Great for Hands-Free Calling, Range drops over use / time but still good 6 foot range some times more...My Sales team loves em and the Music sounds good, plays in your ear and you client does not hear it while on a call..... BUT ...again... if you could change your battery when it won't hold a charge any longer....this would be a win win product. But not Today. If they block this review it will be found on yelp, the retail site i bought from and ripoff .com.....Update...they Blocked my Review...so here it is. As you can see....i placed this here on rip off....they did block this revew on the plantronics website. |
