"You go to the office, fill out an app with the group that's there with you, the owner or one of their guys set up a presentation in how you will make $400/wk and $1600/mo. They don't tell you exactly what you're doing, they are vague. All that you know is that you will make this much if you meet the quota of 15 or so appointments. You will become a Kirby salesperson, and you will become a independant contractor cause they won't pay you hourly. Heck, you don't get even a break as you're out on the field. After the presentation, you go home and you call them back! Everyone gets chosen!" not everyone gets chosen, we get about 20 people a day, we chose about 5-6. "They control you! You go out on the field door to door and demostrate the demo, and persuade in any way possible to sell the expensive $2,000+ vacuum. If you don't sell, you make no money! Heck, even if you sell a vacuum you may not even get paid." again, we dont control you, this is what we do, and you were ok with this at first. I'll tell you why, it's because they lure you in promising you make this much and after a week or so, you leave realizing how much time you've wasted when you could've been looking for a job." we post everyday because every kirby office is always trying to grow. even if we have a group of 5-6 people, 10 is better. people that do well in kirby stay for the money "I am vouching for the OP, because everything he/she said holds water and it is fact and true. It is a scam and a joke!" again sorry if it didnt work out, but you cant go around blaming others for your failures. kirby been around for over 94 years. its the best machine outthere.

hey kirby is not for everyone, but making it seem that we ripoff people is not fair, we are not a scam, we do not ask for any upfront money. we do say that training is not paid for the first day. first you did not work from 9am - 10pm, please tell the people that you left the field by 2pm. second, we don't walk around with a vacuum. we get demos and then we bring the vacuum. there are still 2 people from your class that are making money and doing fine. i have been in kirby for over 6 years and made good money. kirby has been around for 94 years. again, sorry that things didn't work out, but please don't bring down the whole company just because things didn't workout for you guys. i have 5 dealers that are making some good money that really do make $1000 a week. they work hard for it.
