Account Taken Back By Original Owner
Hello

I purchased an account through Playerauctions.com on January 31, 2009 for an 80 Wizard. I have been a Loyal customer to this company for many years now for buying game currency and accounts. In the nearly 4 years that I have had the account I have invested a lot of time and money into the account by paying my monthly subscriptions and buying all of
the expansions when they came out. I leveled the 80 Wizard to 85 and added a few hundred Alternate Advancement points and equipped him, but not a lot of work on him over the years. My pride was the 96 Berserker that I created on the account. The Berserker had over 4000 Alternate Advancement points and was fully geared with a mix of group gear and raid gear. There was also a level 80 Paladin that was a Bazaar trader and had over 2 million in Platinum (in-game currency) and items that were up for sale. A couple fridays ago I tried to log into the account and it would not let me log into the account, it only gave me a message that it was incorrect password. I checked my e-mail and found no messages from Sony Online Entertainment stating my password, e-mail, or any account status change. When i logged into the game with another account I noticed that the three characters, on the account in question, had been removed from their respective guilds. This is when I contacted Playerauctions.com for assistance. I was thinking that they could do something about the situation. I had to supply them with screenshots of me not able to get into the game and fill out a 24 question form. I supplied them with said information and they sent me an e-mail asking for more information which I could not supply because they wanted any correspondence that Sony sent me about the account, which there was none. Yesterday I got an e-mail from Playerauctions.com and it stated that they could not get the original owner to contact
them after their attempts to contact him. Playerauctions.com then told me that they were going to suspend his playerauctions.com access account (not ban him for fraud) and contact Sony and get the account banned (not recovered to me). The worst part was that they tell me in the e-mail that they would not offer me any sort of reimbursement for the
money I spent through their company because I didn't buy a an additional insurance policy when I purchased the account. I feel cheated and ripped off and this whole ordeal makes me sick. I worked so very hard on the account and now it is all gone. I only paid 175.00 for the account originally, but put a lot more into it over the years. I have been a loyal customer to Playerauctions.com for many years and have 100% perfect reputation as a buyer and a seller. Even as soon as the end of last year I spent around 600.00 with their company buying another account and in-game currency. I do not blame Playerauctions.com for the actions of the original owner. I do, however blame Playerauctions.com for not warning their customers that the game accounts that they assist others in selling can be taken back by the original owner if they choose to call Sony, or any of the companies for accounts they sell. All the original owner has to do is call Sony and say that the account has been stolen and Sony will change password access on the account, e-mail address, de-guild characters, clear credit card information, and give the account back to the original owner with no warning or message to the current owner. As I said..I do not blame them for the actions of the original owner, but I do expect them to take care of their customers. They assisted in the fraudulent sale of an account and made money off of that sale. Just as the original owner kept the money I paid for the account that he stole back, Playerauctions.com kept their cut for inserting themselves between the buyer and seller and giving the illusion of a secure transaction. Loyal customers should be treated better than this. Please let this be a warning to all who are thinking of buying from this company. There are risks that they do not tell you about when you use their services. Their entire business model is a lie to the customer as they cannot guarantee anything on accounts and do nothing to warn their customers of truths in account buying and selling.
They represented a seller who committed fraud against me and profited from it and will do nothing to satisfy a loyal customer.
