Plenty of Fish POF.com; POF.com attempted to join with minimum subscription of 3 months, appx $30.00 . Credit card charged for full year at $81.50.Wrote to customer service 4 times. Said it was error, I;m senior citizen. Kive on social security. Stole my GROCERY MONEY !..... Internet
Recently tried to join Plenty of Fish.com (POF.com) internet dating site.
I was going for 3 months subscription @ appx. $30.00. I guess the one year choice @ $81.00 was pre-selected with the little black circle at the beginning of the selection darkened in. I did not see it. As soon as I in put credit card info---I was charged $81.50 , immediately deducted fron checking/Debit account. I wrote customer service within half an hour explaining the error and stating I only wanted a 3 month's subscription.
The form letters tell me that probably a human did not read my E-mails to customer service. I guess my next step is to call POF, but I know the business operates in Canada.
I'm 67 years old. I survive on a small amount of social security per mo. I did explain to POF in my E-mail that I need the difference between 3 mo. subscription---$30.00 and one yr---$81.50 returned to my checking account now! That was my grocery money.
