Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I got a call from Visa fraud warning me about strange activity on my credit card. Which I thought was somewhat off, because nothing appears out of place at first glance. This company charges once a month like any other service. I am led to believe that Visa is aware of this companies shady business.

I ordered a report about myself from intelius.com. I did not accept any offers but apparently they signed me up for privacymatters.com without my approval. Since I rarely use the credit account, I wasnt aware of the charges for 6 months. They charged $18 for 6 months.

I called privacymatters and told them the story. They didnt ask many questions at all and were extremely rude and face paced. It's as if their call center exists to handle all these fraud complaints. After giving them my info, and telling them that visa fraud called me, she transfered me to a rude supervisor who I explained the story to again.

She asked me "What do you want me to do about it?". I said credit me back for 6 months, and she agreed to it right away and said she would credit it back. She quickly read off her employee id and abruptly hung up.

My advice, TELL THEM THAT VISA FRAUD contacted you about their company. Tell them that you did not order the service, you never heard of the service, and you want your money credited back. If they bring up intelius.com, tell them you accepted nothing. Keep reminding them that visa or mastercard fraud contacted you about their shady business.

Then ask for all months they charged to be credited back. Worked for me. Good luck. This company is a fraud.

I just wanted to post an update. I checked my bank statement and PMIDENTITY.COM/PRIVACYMATTERS credited me back 7 months worth of fraud charges as they said they would. So I will leave it at that and move on. See above for my advice on how to handle getting your money back. Good luck.
