PODS Portable On Demand Storage Mahdi Stawter Ripoff and Dealing with Mahdi Stawter was akin to Negotiating with a Terrorist! Clearwater, Florida
Whatever you DO NOT USE PODS for your move. I had to move out of State due to a very urgent family situation. Due to financial losses I could not stay current on my storage fees. Costs that were billed and accrued were not the same as I was quoted and were almost $1800.00 more. Dealing with Mahdi Stawter with PODS Financial Department was like trying to negotiate with an irrational, angry, and belligerent terrorist. This was the worst experience I have ever had and no matter what happens in the future I will go with another company or move myself with U-Haul or the like.
One positive note is Mahdi's boss- Andrea Sipiora who was very helpful in resolving the situation except for not disciplining Mahdi. Unfortunately, Mahdi is still gainfully employed at PODS vs. the better option. Mahdi first told me he did not have a supervisor and that he did not even report to any CEO or Board of Directors and that they listened to him. I tried for 10 minutes to get him to transfer my call to someone else who might assist me and he was belligerently adamant that he was the boss and NO OTHER PERSON would help me.
When I asked him about Andrea Sipiora, that I had just received a letter from, he slipped up and said that she was his supervisor and hung up on me. I had to file a complaint with another person who put me in contact with Mrs. Sipiora. Later the same day, Mahdi Stawter called me back making hateful comments and threats that I will not repeat and ended up hanging up on me again. PODS policy states they record all incoming and outgoing calls. I'm sure employees have found how to circumvent this as no employee would call a customer and make threats knowing they are being recorded. I would like to think any Company would not want their employees calling making threats to customers but in this case PODS did not care.
