I am like you and do all my own work and know when I am over my head. I experienced the same at another Chevy dealer and Mercedes dealer as well. They are all the same NOONE takes the time to diagnose a problem all they do is throw parts at it to "fix it" and unfortuneately their solution is usually 98% inaccurate. My mercedes had a gas leak car was under warranty each time i brought it in I even gave them exact instructions on how to duplicate the problem...NOTHING. They did all these "fixes" even supposedly replaced all the clamps. Well i got so sick of it I diagnosed it myself and found one of the gas lines dry rotted and leaking. Brought it to them that same day I found it and they had nerve to tell me they were "full". Guess what all their "fixes" conveniently werent under warranty AND they tried to charge me to fix the hose once I diagnosed the problem since it wasnt covered by Starmark Warranty. Well let me tell you when I was done there the director of operations was calling me for like a week asking me how things were and i was refunded for their BS fixes. Personally I havent had any issues with Pohanka yet but they have tried to scare me I was told my engine mount was cracked and fuel filter is bad cuz it was all "rusted" and looked old. I said ok thank you and checked everything and noone could find where motor mount was cracked. Oh well thankfully I have some knowledge but its sad in this economy people do whatever they can to make a buck!
