Complaint Review: policeauctions.com - costa mesa California

After waiting a week for my ring i won that was listed as an $800.00 ring for $40.00, included with shipping etc. at auction on policeauctions.com, spent A LOT of time during that auction... I saw that policeauctions.com/Vortal group inc had an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau. and had been doing business since 2000.

And after I looked a at the USPS tracking number ,that gives no addresss the pake is being sent to ... shows, that a first class piece of mail left costa mesa, made it to a sorting station in anaheim... and that is simply where thte tracking leaves off ... again, no where attached to this tracking number is my adress or any  address to which this first class mail was being sent to. 

i fould that sorta weird. no where on the USPS site says that the first class mail was insured etc. (I paid about $12.00 for the nessescary insured shipping, non negoitiable)...

when i called the customer support number gven to me after i emailed them and told them about the tracking info the woman was rude, curt and said i would be refunded as soon as i filed a claim with the USPS for the insured package to wich after some thought email her this:

 "I feel as if you are treating me like an average RETAIL customer. Why should i feel this way? I was not seeking ownership of jewelry,wasn't trolling the Internet for some shaggy-too-dope bling for my fingers...No indeed I was not. In fact, I rarely even wear jewelry. I only got interested as a result of the excitement that is the "Auction Experience". I soon experienced the auction's allure. With it's fast pace and competitive game-like atmosphere, combined with the notion...the POSSIBILTY that property I normally cant afford, and therefore DO NOT SEEK OUT via RETAIL, suddenly seemed posible that I be it's new legal owner.And, if things went right for me, and I won at auction, I would also own it (something, whatever) for a fraction of it's retail value.... Sounds rad to me. I even have an addictive gene or two in my DNA, why it was looking like I might even visit your website quite frequently and eagerly!!

BUT...?So when I contacted you to inquire the where abouts of MY PRIZE, MY RING, that I WON!!! at YOUR AUCTION, I was expecting your end of communication to be one of interest, service and action, ON YOUR PART... MEANING!!! I WAS NOT expecting, or prepared for the ONLY SOLUTION offered me.. And that was when you told me to check my email in 30 minutes(because, I cant possibly be doing anything this weekday early afternoon... ? I mean come on???) because my orders from you Janice with a "H"...(, really?) I was to get BACK ON THE INTERNET AND fill out a form for the US Post Office?WHAT ?SO I AM NOT GETTING ANYTHING HERE NOW???!!!,And on top of that, my reward for visiting your we bsite and paying for something your website offered. And as a result,(as a reward for being a gullable a*s) I am doing YOUR job or something that feels remotely similar to CUSTOMER SERVICE... Because it sure feels like I'm now resolving a customer service issue (and you may want to follow my lead here Janice... I am not a bubbley, optomistic, out-going, resolution seeking people person.... so guess what???? I dont really desire to take on the dutys, in addition to my present responsibilities, and wear the hat of phone site /internet customer servant... Never sought it out, not good at it and now, i'm pissed that it's looking like m immediant future.

After WINNING that auction (my first auction experience, Internet or otherwise.... ) I honesty really enjoyed the time I spent at your website and sincerely felt a sense achievement in being THE WINNING BIDDER. and now, my humble bare hand will show my good fortue and tenacious efforts on the way of some fancy expesive jewelry....

Ms. Napoles,I WANT THAT d**n RING !!! If you can not give me that ring that I purchased,correction, WON, than I want you to forward this to your superior.And please make it urgent. Sincerely,

A few hours later i was contacted by a rude boy/man, very rushed and  claimed that5 they currebnty have no stock comparable to what was "lost" and i will only be refunded after they get my signature. but when I went  on line, minutes after his call to . i saw numerous rings with similar value, materials, and i actually saw the same photo and discription FOR THE SAME ring ...  being auctioned.. at that very moment and durring the same minutes we talked via fone.

I want the ring or one comp'd at the same value, because i have a feeling the site and its claims are fraudulant all the way around... so i look forward to an appraisal and my further pursuit for justice anywhere, everywhere starting withe FTC and the FCC.  the ring is sopposed to be this:Auction #747040 Gorgeous Womens White Gold Rhodium Over Solid Sterling Silver 3.30 CTW Heart Cut Purple Amethyst and 0.02 CTW White Topaz Size 8 Designer Ring Watch This Item
