Denise And Robert Russell AKA Pompous Boxer Kennel BEWARE: Boxer puppy scam and ripoff. Barstow California
Denise and Rob Russell posted an ad in the Recycler for Boxer puppies for $250. She initially asked that the pups be picked up by October 24th. I sent her a $50 deposit on September 17, 2003, which she cashed. A few weeks later on October 9, 2003 I received a letter stating that they had found a new home and that they needed me to pick up the puppy by the 18th.
I called her to confirm that I had received her letter. I told her that I could be there in the afternoon of October 18, 2003. She said that it would be OK. She then said that another person was interested in buying my puppy, and that if I was not interested in buying the pup, she would send me back my deposit and sell the pup to him.
On the 18th I drove approximately 4 1/2 hours to her home. I called her number when I was an hour outside of her home to let her know that I was near. When I arrived at the home. I saw an old dresser and debris in the yard. I walked up to the door and knocked. Nobody answered. I then walked to the side of the house, and found that the yard was empty. No dogs or puppies anywhere. They moved before I could pick up the pup. I left her a note asking that she call me, and I sent her an email. She did not respond.
On October 28, 2003, I sent her another e-mail, she still has not responded. She claims that her dogs are APR Certified and Registered. I want to warn everyone before they buy anything from this women. She also sells Beagles. If anyone has any idea how I can get my deposit back please advise.

She selling another Boxer Puppy

Attention all anyone that reads the Recycler. On Recycler.com, Denise Russell is again attempting to sell boxer's. One is the mother of the puppies from the litter previously mentioned. The other is a pup from that same litter. Possibly the pup that she owes me. She has changed her email address and phone number. I'm still trying to find a way of serving her with a small claims notice because she ripped me off.
