I replied to an online offer to purchase 4 posters at $2 each. Nowhere on the web site or in any of the fine print I read was any information about being subscribed to any sort of subscription program. Nor were any ongoing charges discussed or agreed to by myself. When I completed the transaction I was not even given a total that included shipping cost.

I sent multiple emails to [email protected], [email protected] and went back over the web site again to find any contact info I could. Even then I never saw anything about being subscribed to any kind of service. The customer service number on the site did not work, it was either busy or would continuously ring.

I received my order on April 7th and examined my credit card statement for the charges. This was the $34.00 charge on April 4th. The cost was more then I was told I would pay, but not worth fighting for at the time. I happened to also notice at the same time a $48 charge from Home Decor Direct, a company who I had no dealings with at all.

I finally got through on the customer service number on April 11th after I received the second package unsolicited. Posterpass.com's customer service phone number refused to give me any information (including agent name) and claimed no affiliation with Home Decor Direct. They had me contact [email protected] to return the original package and then hung up on me.

Using Google, I found that several other people had the same problems with Posterpass.com. They would go with the 4 for $2 each deal then start getting charged $48 every two weeks by a totally different company called Home Decor Direct. This provided a second customer service phone number.

On April 14th I received a third package which I did not open either. My credit card statement now showed a second charge for $48 from Home Decor Direct. I called the second phone number I found in Google and had the same issues with the Posterpass.com phone number.

When I finally got connected on April 16th to them they answered the phone as Posterpass.com. Again I was not able to get any information from them and was directed to [email protected] to return my original package. They claimed that the second and third packages were not from them even though the boxes and shipping address were the same.

With no contact from [email protected] still I contacted Bank Of America to get this resolved. I believe this was about the 18th or 20th of April. I was informed the charges would be reversed and all I had to do was make sure the packages were returned after I repeated the above. I was not told to keep shipping receipts as proof, but I guess I should have thought of that.

BofA did give me yet another phone number for Home Decor Direct, which turned out to go to Posterpass.com also. Again the agent was unhelpful and repeated the above.

To date I have attempted a dozen phone calls to the three phone numbers I have. I've only been able to get connected the three times and have been hung up on each time. The customer service agent refuses to give me a name or any other information including simple things like return shipping address. I have sent just as many emails to every contact I can find with this company, all of which have been unanswered.

This company has fraudulently charged almost $200 to my debit card and there is ample proof on the Internet that I am not the only person. I have filed mail fraud charges with the US Postal Service and was told over the phone that this company is already under investigation for the same. The USPS General Inspector's Office will be sending me additional paperwork sometime soon. (They said 45-60 days due to their Tax Season work load.)

I have spent about 20 hours trying to work this out. I have not received any more packages since refusing the 4th one at the door and as far as I can tell they have stopped charging me. But I have not been able to get the previous charges reversed or even acknowledged.
