Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I'm taking the time to report my experience because thanks to the Ripoff Report website and someone who filed a complaint about a camera he or she purchased, I just saved $349. I am so grateful for that and hope I can do the same for someone else who is about to lose money they can't really afford to lose. Once I made up my mind regarding the make and model of the camera I wanted to buy, I naturally searched for the lowest price on line. That brought me to a website called "PowerShotDigital.com".  I was thrilled to be getting this camera for close to $100 less than anywhere else. That should have been my first red flag.

The second being the fact that I wasn't going to be charged tax or shipping. I went ahead and ordered it last night. The third red flag came in the form of an e-mail from someone named Gerry, who was contacting me about my order, giving me the phone number 229-299-8999 and telling me I needed to confirm my order and should use extension 1 as that is his extension and he is the one handling my order. I was about to call when I noticed I missed a call from 347-821-4685. When I searched that number online, up came the Ripoff Report website with a report from someone who purchased a camera from a website called "Digitalpros.com". This person also received a call from 347-821-4685 the next day and spoke to someone named Bruce, who was trying to get this person to upgrade their order.

This person was wise enough to cancel the order after doing some checking.  I called that number myself and then called the number from the e-mail I received and both calls had the same recorded greeting. That was my fourth and final red flag. Apparently "DigitalPros.com" is now doing business as "PowerShot Digital.com".  I immediately called the bank after making sure the charge had not gone through yet, and told them not to put the charge through. Of course in order to do that, I had to order a new debit card and won't be able to use it until it arrives in the mail. Small price to pay. Bottom line is, by not putting my order through until they had a chance to get me to "upgrade" it, these greedy people gave me the time and the information I needed to find out just how illigitimate their company is, which led me to cancel the order. They weren't satisfied with getting my $349, they wanted more, now they have nothing. The Ripoff Report is an invaluable service and the people who take the time to report these theives should also be commended for preventing other bargain hunters from getting ripped off. Thanks everyone!

I had the exact same experience same phone # 229-299-8999 (Jerry name on e-mail) same address in Snellville GA with no exact street address. I too noticed the web site gone but they just changed their name and web site to http://powersellerdigital.com hopefully this gets out.  Consumers beware!

I am also a person who has been ripped-off by PowerShotDigital.  It was difficult to find where these people domicile their business in order to make a fraud report to the Attorney Generals Fraud Office but I ascertained it was in Georgia.  I got all my proof ready and then found this company's website is gone!  So, they must have got wind of the the complaints and/or my complaint to the BBB.  So, I called my credit card company and charged them back.  The credit card company has them on a list being 'watched' and they have numerous complaints.  I just wanted to update people on my findings.  Thanks!
