I called Precision Garage Door of Brevard to come fix my garage door. John B came out and told me i needed a new spring and 12 new rollers and gave me a quote of $450. The quote seemed high so i called my husband who told me to tell him not to do the job. John left but not before cutting my garage door cable. I then called Howard and they came out the next day which was a Sunday. He told me i needed a new spring but told me my rollers were fine they just needed lube. The total cost of the job ended up being $265. This company has been featured on dateline and i would strongly recommend you stay far away from this company and their deceptive practices.

As the President of this company, I truly am sorry you feel you
had a bad service call from my company. John, your tech, has outstanding reviews from our customers on our website. He
is one of our best techs and has never received a complaint
from a customer.
It is standard in our industry that if one spring needs to be replaced,
the other one usually needs to be replaced also, for safety reasons. It is kind of like replacing a bald tire on the left, but leaving a worn out tire on the right. You can do that, but it is not safe if a tire blows on the highway it could cause an accident and injury.
Springs are the same. Most of the time, when one spring is
worn out, the other spring is also. If both are very worn, we will change one if the customer is adament, but we note on the sales contract, that we advised the customer against it so we are not
liable if the other spring breaks and causes damage or injury.
This is why John's quote included 2 springs in the price, not just
one like the company you used sold you.
Additionally we put on higher grade green powder-coated springs that last a lot longer than the ones our competitor puts on.
Actually, our repair cost for what the competitor charged you
for changing one spring and lubing the rollers (we don't charge
for lubing parts!) would have been $169.00, therefore you actually
paid our competitor more if he only changed one spring.
Precison Garage Doors has 70 location across the nation.
They are all owned by individual owners. Precision is not a "chain"
company, so every Precision has a different owner.
Precision Garage Door of Brevard has never been protrayed
on any TV show as doing bad business. In fact we have won
the Angie's List "Super Service " award the past 4 years (based
on customer reviews) and have an A rating on their site.
We also have a A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
I apologize you did not like John (and he states he did not cut
the cable, and if he had your garage door would have gone
sideways and you would not even been to open it.) If John
had cut the cable, why didn't you call us and why did the other company change the supposed cut cable.
As the owner of the company, I would like to extend to you
a 25% discount on any future garage door repairs you might need.
Thank you
