Precision Overhead Door Jacksonville Felt like they were trying to rip me off with their way overpriced estimate for new springs on my garage door Jacksonville FL
I called Precision doors to get an estimate for repairing my broken spring on my garage door. The guy came out and I felt like that 20/20 show where they taped the contractors trying to rip people off. He was a smooth talker and said that he could do a temporary band aid fix for about $500 OR for $695 use better parts and give me a "lifetime warranty". I was going to let him do it as my car was trapped inside and he knew I didn't have much choice to wait long. He got the door open and I moved my car out. I asked him to wait a minute while I called my husband (and another company) who said that price was ridiculous and that it was about a $300 job! I told him not to do the work that I was going to get someone else. He quickly started talking about doing it cheaper for me, etc and I asked him to leave. He said he needed $49.95 for coming out and I told him I would call the owner of the company and take it up wih them and he left. I called the company to tell them of my bad experience with this overpriced estimate and that I felt as if they were trying to rip me off and a manager was to call me back but I have not heard from anyone. Just want others to beware of their unfair practices and how I feel in my opinion they tried to take advantage of a woman in this situation with no husband at home. I even told him my husband was military and he still tried to price gauge me! I called Overhead Door Depot and they were very professional, they use top notch quality products and did the job for 1/2 of what Precision Door wanted!
