Ok, guys. I have bought a whole mess of premier designs jewelry. Now I'm trying to get rid of it as its very cheaply made and highly over-priced. I choose to list them on ebay to try and get some of my money back. I'm contacted by this chantel woman to remove my listings "Its against your Independent seller agreement to promote our products on the internet" contact me when you have removed all your listing. In this first place, I'm not or ever been one of their Independent sellers. I buy from an Independent seller like everyone else. And it helps people to know who she is when I spread the word that she is the seller, buy from her.

which happens to be elderly and lost her savings believing in their sales pitch to become a member.
She lost thousands of dollars and can't sell a thing but, shes told she can't promote on the internet. when that's the only way possible to make a sale these days by advertising who she is as an independent seller.

Of course they are debt free people, because the debt fell onto the individual sellers shoulders. They didn't want to take the risk by selling their own products. So, yeah it chaps my hide knowing they've scammed so many people. No one has time to go door to door to sell and working families don't have the time for home shows. They charge over 900 in kits and over 300 in member ship fees!

I was searching the net this morning for something to share with my Premier team when I came across this. I read post after post and told myself to forget it and move on. I couldn't. I'm sorry your elderly friend didn't do well with her business. Like anything else in life there are rules. We can't advertise online with prices. We don't do that because we are a business based on service to others. In my case, and in the case of many ladies I know, we want to meet and get to know our customers because they may need a friend.

I got into Premier because after 23 years in the same job I found myself out of work, depressed and suffering from PTSD. A Premier consultant helped me get back on my horse and try again. It wasn't the company per say, it was the woman. I have been with Premier now and I will never leave. I have seen women with self-esteem issues, financial issues and depression issues come back to life because of the love and support of the people they have met in Premier.

This includes customers and jewelers. The jewelry is very good for highend fashion and it's not expensive if you buy a necklace that can be worn 9 different ways. It cost less then items you might find in your local department store. Hostesses pay tax and shipping unless they order half price items and if you have had a show you know we replace manufacture defective jewelry. I have several girls that signed up without buying a kit and I paid for them to sign. Why? No, not because I'm money hungry! It's because I knew that would benefit from it! They needed a good job and needed the friendships they have made and continue to make.

The point I'm trying to make is there are people and there is a company! You, like many people, are judging the company and not the people you have encountered. Which is typical and foolish. Life isn't all rainbows, sunshine and puppies. How you choose to live your life is what makes it good or bad. For every negative person there are 20 others that love the principals and products of Premier. I could go on for days about people judging each other or companies or churches. I know that you will probably rebuff my comment just as you did all the others but you said people need to get their facts straight.

Premier will buy back a kit from the consultant in the first 6 months if she doesn't want to continue. It isn't for everyone, but i am making a difference in the lives of others and many have made a difference in mine. I commend you for texting to help her. The verbiage you used on eBay May have suggested to the woman who contacted you that you were the consultant. I apologize if you felt offended by her. Your consultant friend can post pics on any social networking site and sell her products but she can't post the prices.

She can private message them. Again we are trying to keep our interaction with customers personal. if people choose to buy something in a store that can only be worn one way and won't be replaced if it breaks then more power to them. That's what works for them. I teach tips to my hostess and her guests. Tips that I wish someone had taught me. I know first hand how much free jewelry the hostesses get and I know how much I make doing something I love. You cannot dispute those two things because they are my truths. Again I am sorry for your experience with the people you encountered through Premier. Best wishes to you both.

Selling Premiere Designs Jewelry on the internet is 100% legal

#3General Comment

I know the law. Selling any physical object in your possession can be legally sold on the internet without the permission of the company that created said object, once it is legally your possession you can do with it as you please. I recommend selling it on Etsy or Ebay or your own website, the #1 rule I would mention is don't call it "Premiere Designs", just call it by a generic name, "Bracelet with Purple this", "Necklace with Blue that", etc, this way this thug company 'Premiere Designs' can't harass you as easily, now if they do harass you know this, they are breaking the law. Concerning them harassing someone who purchased directly from them and signed a contract with them, the law of possession is above their bogus law, their pretend law is null and void compared to the law of possession,

if you are somehow in some way still fearful of their fake law have one of your buyers sell it on the internet for you, this way you are abiding by both their law and the law of possession. If the seller has signed no contract with them they can in every way shape and form legally and lawfully sell on any internet website they desire, they can even legally mention it is "Premiere Designs Jewelry", the only reason I would recommend not mentioning their name is they are thugs who practice illegal practices of harassment based on a fake law while claiming to have no understanding of the law of possession. The same thing goes for Avon, Amway, any and all products of any and all companies, they can legally be sold anywhere by the possessor as long as it is mentioned they are not being sold direct from the company but second hand, new or used.

I want to start off with the fact that I completely understand where you're coming from. I am a former independent distributor (I know you weren't) and the initial agreement when I started sounded too good to be true. 50% of EVERYTHING I sell?? Now, $900 seems like a lot of money (face it, it is), but if you're one of those people who ends up being really really good at this type of thing, that's like...2 home shows. You can make that up quickly. And the $300 you can make it one! It's definitely a social occupation and the people are so genuine and nice it makes me cringe thinking about it. I think the no selling online is a good idea while you're selling it. It takes away the social media factor and lets people really sit down and have fun getting to know one another and enjoy jewelry face to face.

If you're not good at this thing (like I was), you can lose most of that money and it takes a while to get it back. In the year and a half I was a "jewelry lady" I only had about 6-7 home shows. It's just not something I was good at! I took out a Premier card and everything and then when I couldn't pay that off in 6 months they charged me the full interest on the initial intro charge for the jewelry set that I started with! I was pretty d*mn pissed about that one, but they explained it to me and I re-read the contract and, yep, it was stated in there that if I didn't pay the 6 months interest free off by the 6 month mark, the total interest would be added.

Basically, yes, I'm pissed that I lost a crap ton of money with this endeavor (still trying to see if I can sell them online, as I have like "$700" worth of jewelry, at LEAST, lying around. I just wanted to point out that Premier is NOT a scam. I was not charged the renewal fee because you have to manually go in and renew it anyway. Not sure how your friend was charged without her knowledge. They sent me e-mails every freaking week like 3 months before it expired. Of course I never renewed it. Pfft. I suck at selling jewelry! Ah, well. They are not the best made, no, but they are better than the stuff you buy in the fashion jewelry section at a department store. I just never bought the fishhook earrings - they ALWAYS broke.

Honestly I just googled trying to see if I could resell them online after not being a jeweler for like 8 months and this post came up. Thanks for the clarification this seems like a pain in the butt. I can understand while you're still a jeweler, but afterwards? Like seriously? Sorry for your friend's misfortune. Hope it got/gets resolved.

Wow you seem very angry and unfortunately misinformed regarding Premier.  Not sure who you may have been talking to at Premier, but I would suggest talking to the owners - the Horners.  This is a reputable company (despite what you many think) and I am sure they would be willing to work with any reasonable minded person.  By the tone of your posts, its sounds like you may not fully understand nor are you willing to listen to what Premier or anyone else has said on your post.

Sorry to say, NO MATTER what anyone tells you about the company, you are not going to listen.  It seems like you are the only person who has a complaint about this company and you have NEVER worked for them.  I don't see anyone who has actually worked for Premier, post anything negative.  Yes it is a multi level marketing company (not a scam).  You don't make a dime from anyone you recruit unless you are working the business, selling jewelry yourself.  As a jeweler who recruits another jeweler, you have a vested interest as well as a responsibility to help them to become successful.

There are plenty of people in Premier who just sell the jewelry on their own without recruiting anyone.  Recruiting is optional although encouraged in order to grow your business.  Sounds like you may have overpaid for the jewelry you bought from your elderly friend in order to help her and now you are regretting your purchase.  So sorry.   You need to let it go, move on.  Holding on to that much anger is not good for you or anyone who you come in contact with.  God Bless.

Hi! I know you find it hard to believe, but I too paid off my investment, which was about $900 total, in less than  a month. Also, although you may not have time for a homeshow I have 14 scheduled next month. A pyramind scheme is where the people at the top make the most money. So, the individual at the top of the pyramid makes money off of everyone below them. Premier does allow you to profit off of your downline, but it only goes down 3 levels. So, someone below me could end up making a ton more than me. With a pyramid scheme this is not possible.

Also, my upline, the people who recieve a commission check based on my profit , definitely deserve it! They work with me whenever and with whatever I need. There are also free workshops you can attend put on by other jewelers and Ive actually won money at them. Lastly, that money they make does not come out of my pocket, its Premier that pays them. If the woman your talking about isnt able to do homeshows, she can do catalog shows. Just give the book to friends and have them get orders at work and from family. She still makes 50% of the sales.

Copied from wiki...

"Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of the other salespeople that they recruit. This recruited sales force is referred to as the participant's "downline", and can provide multiple levels of compensation.[1] Other terms for MLM include pyramid selling,[2][3][4][5][6] network marketing,[7][8][9] and referral marketing.[10]Most commonly, the salespeople are expected to sell products directly to consumers by means of relationship referrals and word of mouth marketing.[1]Some people use direct selling as a synonym for MLM, although MLM is only one type of direct selling, which started centuries ago withpeddling.[1][7][11]MLM companies have been a frequent subject of criticism as well as the target of lawsuits. Criticism has focused on their similarity to illegal pyramid schemes, price fixing of products, high initial entry costs (for marketing kit and first products), emphasis on recruitment of others over actual sales, encouraging if not requiring members to purchase and use the company's products, exploitation of personal relationships as both sales and recruiting targets, complex and sometimes exaggerated compensation schemes, the company making major money off its training events and materials, and cult-like techniques which some groups use to enhance their members' enthusiasm and devotion.[10][12]"

Appears to meet ALL the criteria of a pyramid scheme including the "cult" which in this case they are using Christian religion for.

I was an independent distributor for this company for 5 yrs.  It definitely was not a scam.  What people fail to realize is when you become a distributor for any multi level marketing company (hate to use that term because it immediately brings negative thoughts to some) you have to realize that there is going to be an investment of some sort up front.  However; everyone I came in contact with in this company (esp the owners) were totally ethical and wonderful people.  They do everything they can to help ensure your success in YOUR business.  However; you HAVE to work the business!!!! It is not a free ride.  Also the beauty of this type of business is you make your own hours, work as little or as hard as you like (& yes your level of success is indicative of your efforts and time) and not have to deal with the enormous paperwork involved in filing taxes and keeping track of your sales as well as everyone under you.  I felt the jewelry was fairly priced and of good quality.  It is called "Fashion" jewelry.  It is not made to last for years (if it was it would be much more expensive).  All in all, GREAT commpany, WONDERFUL owners and almost all the distributors I came in contact were helpful.
PS:  I made my initial investment back in 5 shows!!

I Sincerely Apologize

Mon, January 21, 2013

I sincerely apologize that you feel this way. I have read through this report fully and understand that you are upset with your relationship with Premier.

I agree with a previous post that if your elderly friend is having difficulty with her relationship with Premier it may help her if she called the home office, (800) 486-7378. Every time I have called them they have answered with, "How may I serve you." My experience with Premier (2 years now) has lead to my belief in their philosophies.

Premier was started on Christian philosophies. They were founded in order to help mothers be able to spend more time with their children as well as help pay the bills. They also donate a portion of their earnings to missionaries.  You can find more about why they started the company here, http://www.premierdesigns.com/about.html.

I wanted to address the portion where you called Premier a pyramid scheme. I understand how you could be concerned about this. Premier does have something called your 10-10-10. This is a "family" in which a Premier jewelry lady sponsors a new jeweler, and that new jeweler sponsors someone else. The second jeweler and the third jeweler are considered the first jewelry lady's down line. The first jewelry lady does make a commission off of her down line, while the second jeweler makes a commission off of the jeweler she sponsors.

I understand that this concept sounds like a pyramid scheme, however, there is a main reason it is not. This is due to the fact that the first jewelry lady does not make a single cent in commission if she does not reach a total of $600 in retail or $300 in CV. This is because Premier does not want it's jewelers hiring new ladies into the company and letting them flounder, and ultimately letting their business die out.

Also, Premier Designs jewelry is advertised as High Fashion jewelry. It is not of the highest quality and I am not one to practice saying it is. I describe my jewelry as a higher quality then the jewelry you could buy at a children's store such as Claire's, however, it is not as high quality as that you will find at Kay or Jared's. It is what you may refer to as glorified costume jewelry you can wear daily.

Premier encourages the jewelers to help one another in building their businesses by sharing ideas and cheering one another on. They understand that direct sales is a difficult business to be part of, but they also have many tips and tricks of the trade that they share with their jewelers in order to help them promote their business.

It is true that Premier does not allow it's jewelers to sell the jewelry online. This is due to the fact that they have researched selling online and found that it makes selling more difficult for it's jewelers, this is also why the catalog is not available online. Premier prides itself on face to face communication with our customers. By building relationships with our customers we are able to enrich their lives by helping them with not only what necklace they should wear to their outings, but by being able to update their wardrobe for free, and being there for them, face to face, if they ever need us.

I agree, when I first started selling I wasn't sure what to do if I wasn't able to sell my jewelry online. I finally found that I can create a customer base by going to friends and family and asking them to have a party for me, I never wanted to go door to door - and I never did. By going to my friends and family and having them hold parties for me, I was able to meet their friends and their family, and so on and so forth increasing my customer base.

The one thing that Premier offers that increased my ability to broaden my customer base seven-fold was their hostess plan. Premier offers the most generous hostess plan in direct sales. I'm constantly giving away hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry to my hostesses with minimal cost to me. I believe the highest jeweler fee I pay for hostess incentives is $20 when I'm giving my hostess of $200 worth of free jewelry. I wouldn't be able to find hostesses if it weren't for this plan.

I understand your feelings with Premier. I believe there has been some mis-communication between the company and yourself, and I hope that there is a way to rectify it, even if it is picking up the phone and having a civil conversation with Premier. I'm sure they would be willing to help you figure out where the dilemma occurred.

Again, I apologize on behalf of the consultant who pushed your elderly friend into being a consultant. I believe there should be no pressure in joining a direct sales company, people need to figure out which company works best with their situation, not be battered into joining a company just to find out it's not the right fit.

I hope this post helps you to understand Premier a bit more, and if you have any more questions about the business, or would like to speak to someone who may know more about the situation, I encourage you to call Premier's head quarters.

God Bless

You have been nothing but rude and insulting and premier claiming to be a Christan company allows this behavior; (perfect example). Don't sit there and hide behind your computer screen and tell me to stop whining! I know plenty about there policies lady. That s why I won first right of sell. Their policies do not mean squat, I do not have to follow their policies! I purchased the stock legally.

Premier has stolen money from this lady without her permission out of her bank acct in renewal fees and never offered an apology or her money back. They were well informed she wanted to cancel membership in advance due to their harassment. Had the recruiting rep explained the screwed up polices in the first place she would have never gotten conned into selling it. Just because I purchased the stock doesn't mean I'm obligated to their policies!

They should be more focused on canceling the accts of the conning reps that prey on the elderly for quick money. Any ligament company looking to employ people don't ask for money or demand they only go door to door to sell items they can't on their own. Moreover, place a butt load of selling restrictions on them keeping them from performing their job duties.

You are seriously misguided, lady. Do some more investigating into the company before you quickly defend them. Think twice before calling me a liar lady I don't tolerate disrespect, Learn some manners,

I'm SO SORRY that sacrificed yourself for this poor woman without educating yourself on the business and its policies. As the other ladies stated above, you are far from knowing the business with Premier Designs and you need to refrain from commenting about companies that you obviously know nothing about. The policies are the policies, whether you like them or not and I'm so sorry that you are going through this but you basically did it to yourself by volunteering to, basically, purchase the ASSETS of a legit business, which is what you did. You purchased assets from a business that has rules and regulations you were uninformed of. Now quit your whining and deal with it. Inform yourself before making investments, that way you aren't upset when you don't get the results you wanted.
Premier is an amazing company and until this ridiculously misinformed post, I had NEVER seen any negative comments regarding Premier. I only hope that your lies don't hinder the great reputation Premier has today.

Its junk. It tarnishes and falls apart easily and can be made at home. At least I make mine with real solid silver or sterling silver, stainless steel and half the cost of premier's jewelry. People can easily get all the same beading on ebay

I am not sure about your claim about EBay asking for you to remove your listings, but I will share you this observation. It appears you bought this fine jewelry from an elderly lady, and was looking for a quick turn around on your investment. With any company starting out, you have to build a client base. There is no substitution for hard work and a little old fashioned pounding the streets. Premier is a company founded on biblical principles and is very good to the customers and their representatives. I will challenge anyone that says Premier Jewelry is beaded jewelry that can be made at home.......Please spare me

I didn't team up with anyone lady. I am sound minded adult purchased all of the stock from the elderly lady and went off to sell it on my own on ebay. Once I purchased it, I have a legal right to sell it anyway I choose. And there is no law or agreement stating the independent rep has to sell of her stock to another rep. I don't appreciate your insults. The company knows their products are worthless and didnt want to risk the debt that can be easily incurred buying the stock and not being able to sell it. That's why they have the sales pitch and pass it on to other people to sell. They make their money charging all the high start up fees just to be their dang rep. I read all of the documentation, and it mentions very clearly how reps can make money off of other reps when they sign up new people. That's why they call them pyramid schemes! That said rep profits of the new signed up rep.

I am outraged at the way my elderly friend was harassed and misled into becoming a rep that resulted her her going into debt. I purchased her stock so she can make some of her money back and be done with it. Preimer was the one harrassing her after she sold me the stock. The took her money a second time to charge her membership fee for renewal then shut her account down. She already informed them upon selling her stock to me, she didnt want to be a member any longer. That didnt stop them from taking her money then denying her to right to sell and be a member.

And their excuse was they shut her down was because I teamed up with her to sell the crap which is bull snot

There are 3 sides to every story

There are 3 sides to every story; His/hers, hers/his, and the truth. Your stories have many loop holes. Maybe it is your communication skills? I don't know.

You started out saying "I, I, I" and then your last statement it turned into "we, we, we" as if you teamed up with this "elderly" woman. Your comments "Now I'm trying to get rid of it (whole mess of jewelry you bought) as its very cheaply made and highly over-priced" and "I buy from an Independent seller like everyone else." leads me to my theory.

I have been in this industry (working for the corporate headquarters) for some time and have looked into Premier Designs as a consultant in the past. If a consultant is having difficulties, needs to unload some inventory, or decides to close up shop, they are encouraged to reach out to other consultants who might be interested in purchasing inventory.

In my opinion, this was not an option in this case because why sell to another consultant for what you paid (discounted cost) when you can have someone else sell your inventory under their name for full (or near) book price. Let it be known that if you indeed teamed up with this elderly consultant to make money (against her contract) it will be found out.

If this is the case and you are lashing out and flailing your arms about because you got caught up. Childish. I am a business owner and it strikes a royal nerve when people are dishonest and try to pull scams. People rely on honest reviews when making business decisions. Hissy fits are huge distractions and are not fair to the people that work harder than those that work 9-5 or don't work at all. (I work 7 days a week and a lot of times 15 - 20 hours a day.) I really wish people would treat other people how they wish to be treated. I think that mentality would cure 100% of our issues.

If I'm wrong about my opinion then I apologize but, I'm sure if this was a completely honest incident it would not have been escalated.

Your totally wrong lady

#16Author of original report

Thu, September 27, 2012

Your totally wrong lady. There has been a lawsuit and we were given first right of sale on ebay. It was a frivolous lawsuit. There is a lot of harassment going on for sellers. Premier needs to take a good look at their workers and stop the harassment & conning people out of that much money. No one wants the junk jewelry at these high prices. We are forced to cancel membership and get rid of it on eBay.
Saying that we can sell it how we want is a lie. We cannot sell the products on line are promote it in anyway. We are forced to go door to door and book home shows. We loose all our money invested when our memberships are canceled right after signup. They clearly make their money preying on people signing up to sell the mess.

EBay clearly allows our listings to sell it, as we have first right of sale. But that doesn't mean premier is not checking all the listings and harassing people to stop selling it, especially if they are an premier seller.

Stop bashing the little guy trying the sell this crap. We have ligitment complaints. You refuse to see it and protect your darn company

Reading through the complaint, it appears that the writer is upset that some person who, it's not explained who this person really is, has stated that she cannot sell the jewelry on eBay. If you look up Premier Designs on eBay, there are currently 4,911 active listings of Premier Designs jewelry so I doubt that your complaint is legit on that front.

If the jeweler that your 74 year old friend signed up under was unscrupulous in their pushing her to join, then she should contact Premier and let them know. Maybe they can assist, or at least do something about this person giving their company a bad name. There are, in every business, bad people. You cannot judge every company based on one person. I'm sorry about your elderly friend. I would recommend that she find another Premier jeweler in the area to see if they will buy any of her jewelry. I've bought jewelry from other jewelers before when they decided they didn't want to do the business anymore for whatever reason.

I signed up for Premier last February and made back my money in less than 6 months. When I signed up, there was an application fee, but there was no requirement to purchase jewelry. Nope - no requirement. It makes sense to have samples, but you are given options to fit your financial comfort zone so your research on this topic is incomplete. If someone wants to start out with just the catalogs, they are able to do that. I am currently doing this "job" on a very part time basis - along with a full time job and am making a profit.

Yes, there is commission paid on your "down line", but what you fail to understand is that it is not a requirement to have people sign up under you. If you don't want to have a downline, you don't have to have one! A jeweler makes the same percentage from their sales regardless of how many people are underneath them, if any, and there is a minimum amount a jeweler has to sell each month in order to receive commission. In other words, the jeweler can't just sit back and rely on their downline for income. Additionally, the company encourages jewelers to help their downline succeed and the commission is practically a reward for taking the time to help your downline be successful.

I'm not sure why you are so angry about Premier. If you don't like the company - don't sign up. I am sorry that your friend got taken for a ride, but remember - it was the person who pushed her that is at fault, not Premier. Take your anger out where it belongs.

It has nothing to do with Macey's or any other company. We are discussing premier designs not other retailers. I have thoroughly researched my information concerning the company. The Recruiting rep makes money off of all new reps sales for the duration of their selling privileges. It not their hard work. they profiting off the new rep's hard work. And its not really the recruiting rep fault .

Its the way premier has designed its company which makes all reps look bad. They will continue to be a debt free company as long as people fall for their bad selling practices. They take no risks at all because its the reps that loose money trying to sell shoddy products. Never once has this company taken the time to sell its own products because they don't want to waste their time and money so the debt falls upon the reps.

Hun, its not a sales pitch. I don't want you on my team.

And I guess you think that if people work hard they shouldn't get an increase in money? So companies should never give raises or promote anyone. So, Commission at places like Macy's is wrong. And, Managers and anyone who is a boss should not get any increase in payment if they work harder. Ohhh, ok. I see.

Well, that's cool. But, I am just letting the truth be known. If you want to keep coming up with come backs like "the company still pays you more when you bring new people to the company" than ok. Go on.

Premier unlike many other companies is not concerned with how many people they have. If you took any time to actually find out about the company besides arguing and fighting with the company than you would see that.

They may not be exchanging cash but I do know the recruiting rep makes money off all the new reps sales. You deny that and you are an obvious liar. I have seen all the new recruit paperwork from premier. Premier isn't concerned about their product being sold, they make their money off the New sign ups with these 700 to 900 kits. They came after me becuase they didn't have the opportunity to make that money off me. They continually claimed I had no right to sell it after I purchased legally and had first right of sale.  They bullied me to get me to stop selling because they weren't making any money from me. And their lawsuit was frivolous. Your sales pitch won't work on me, I know the truth behind the company. Its one big scam

Pyramid scheme: a fraudulent money making scheme where people are recruited to make payments to the person who recruited them. while not providing any product. these are also illegal.

Therefore it would not be existing for one. And as I explained premier provides jewelry and the jewelers do not pay money to anyone they sponsor.

Again look up the definition of pyramid scam. You do not make money off the person below you. Premier the company pays the people. The consultants do not ever have to give any of their profit to the people who sponsor them. They always make 50 percent of all they sell no matter what. Never do they take money from anyone to pay someone else. Please get educated n that. And if you are not a consultant than you can sell how you want. So your obviously leaving some info put if you got sued. And if you didnt do anythinh wrong than you will not get sued.

I repeat I was never a seller with the company. I bought the lot from a 74 year old disabled woman that paid out all that money and could not make the sell. I bought the jewelry so she would not loose her home. And yes I was actively pursued on eBay and was told I had no right to sell it cause I wasn't a premier member. I purchased it legally from the 74yr old rep. In turn they canceled her account claiming I was her agent selling her products. Advertising was not allowed and selling online was not allowed. Yes its a prymid scheme when the one that talks you into becoming a premier seller  makes money off of your sells.

Premier Designs is not a scam nor is it a pyramid scam. Look up definition of pyramid scam and you will see. I am an independent consultant with premier and you can make back the payment in 5 shows. In fact, I made it back in 3. If you have never sold, than don't make a complaint about something you do not know about. If you are not a consultant, than why did you buy the kit. Buying the kit and signing up means you are a consultant unless you end your contract with premier. If you paid a lot of money for a bunch of Jewelry that is your own fault for doing so without knowing anything or putting in any effort to actually work the business. Look up Suzie Orman or Dave Ramsey, both are financial experts and have said many a time that direct sales is the best industry to get into in this economy. You have your own business, you work when you want as long as you put in effort. You have Job security! Who doesn't want that! No one i know in Premier is in debt. I find it extremely hard to believe someone would be out 1000 dollars unless they were spending the money that was to be sent to premier as the Jeweler makes 50% profit and must send 50% back to the company. If you have not sent the money back than you are the one who is dishonest and deserves to be out money. Premier Designs has a Golden Guarantee and if anything is wrong with the Jewelry it can be exchanged or returned at no cost within the time period. If you have something for a year and you wear it everywhere and treat it badly than it is your own fault. Premier is very generous with the Golden Guarantee. They are debt free because they are a good company. There will always be nay sayers with everything, I know but learn your facts before you go complaining about something that you got yourself into! And, working families love home shows, it gives them a break to relax. And, women love to get together. Also, Premier's hostess benefits can not be beat. Check any other company.

Thank you for the information. I hope everyone can avoid these darn pyramid schemes. so, many of their sellers refuse to see it for what its is. Ive heard so many  investing in it and loosing all their savings. I find that very hard to believe that this other person on here claims she did well with 5 home shows and got her money back. I guess premier had to have someone come defend them. Its just impossible to make any money these days especially with premier

Case law helps your defense.

I forgot to mention to you that if you perform an internet search as I suggested you will come across to LAWFIRM websites that will have IMPORTANT information for you.  Both of these lawfirms list 2 important civil cases inwhich a reseller as you was ruled to have "right of first sale" protection under the law against a plaintiff who was suing the ebay seller.

You should find these 2 websites and print the CASE LAW information and give it to your attorney-case law is essential to your sucessful defense of the lawsuit against you and a possible countersuit against them for a frivolous and harassing lawsuit.  As the plaintiff against an ebay reseller, they knew or should have known that you were protected by the "First Sale Doctrine" and you might be successful in seeking damages against THEM.

Good luck.

Yes, its a bullying tacit and I'm sue it won't end with me. I just want to make it known before other people fall into this. They definaitaly don't act like a christian company when they bully their own sellers and non-sellers. We live in a bad ecomoney and its larger companies likes this that takes advantage of us trying to make a living.

Chantel was pretty much trying to force me into paying for the kit and membership fees because there was no contract to hold me to. I agree it was best to fight it with an attorney but, if I had the money to do so I wouldn't be  trying to sell on the eBay right now.

I honestly think they should screen their worker's backgrounds before they claim they are such a christian company. Their bullies

This woman made accusations to eBay, Inc and forced me to remove my listings.

Ebay is required by the DMCA (digital millenium copyright act) to allow you to ANSWER the "take down notice" that they received from this woman.  First Sale Doctrine has been settled in the courts, spefically as it applies to Ebay.  If you do an internet search for "first sale doctrine ebay" you will find more information.  Many folks have fought such "take down" notices succesfully with Ebay and the courts.

Whenever an entity issues a take down notice to an internet service (in this case Ebay) the offender (you) has a right to submit a rebuttal to the take down notice.

And please explain to me why the heck am I actively being sued then.

In my opinion, this is a bullying tactic and at least with you, it appear to be working.  You might consider consulting with an attorney.  You might be able to countersue them.

Good luck.

I don't agree. This woman made accusations to eBay, Inc and forced me to remove my listings. And please explain to me why the heck am I actively being sued then. Secondly a bank statement clearly shows the kit was 900 dollars plus the tax shipping.
Its not worth it as the value of this quality jewelry isn't even worth half that. Customers don't want to pay high prices for beaded jewelry that can be made at home. Not to mention I was told repeatedly I don't want to do home shows just to buy a piece of jewelry By the time you pay all the costs involved you have lost a lot of money. Do the math

First Sale Doctrine

If you obtained the jewelery legally you can resell it however you wish.  It is a tenet of law known as "First Sale Doctrine" or "Right of First Sale."

If they contact you again, remind them of this.  If the argue about it, suggest they consult with an attorney before they make any statements to you that might be actionable.

You can sell it however you want!

Hey, I'm an independent distributor for Premier myself... I just wanted to say that you (someone who isn't a consultant) can sell it however you want :)  Seeing as though the "punishment" for selling it online is you can't be a consultant anymore, you're set.  If it comes around to the woman who is a consultant and she gets in trouble, that is the only issue, but it's not really Chantell's job to be the police about it.

It doesn't take business away from consultants because when you buy Premier off ebay, you don't get the "Golden Guarantee" where you can exchange something that breaks in the first 60 days.

I have to disagree when you said they scam people.  Everyone knows jewelry in general is marked up like crazy, so you could argue that every company that sells jewelry is scamming.  Also, the most expensive kit you can buy is not over $900, it's $750 and you get $2,500 worth of jewelry with that kit.

The application fee IS over $300 - $395 to be exact.  And this covers all your materials you'd need to do a show for the first 6-9 shows (catalogs, order forms, presentation flyers, DVD with mock home shows, welcome DVD, Binder with tips, access to jewelers only website, AND they have accountants that file your state taxes for you every single month.  You don't have to worry about that at all!  It's a huge weight off my shoulders to know that I don't have to deal with the math involved there.  That $395 amounts to about $33 a month.

I paid off my investment in the business in 5 home shows!
