Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On the 9th of April 2007, I purchased a program, on my credit card for $8410.00, this program was to aid me in elevating my financial life to the next level. I was told to use a credit card, then transfer the balance to other cards because the program will pay for itself in 90 days. Using the creditablity of loral langmerger in their sales pitch, I was told I would have access to a team of wealth builders at the top of their game, one on one mentoring, and a return on my invest in 90 days.

Aftering purchasing I spoke with Mike Grow and scheduled my first foundation class. One week pasted, I called Mike to find out how I should prepare for the class, he did not return my call. I left two messages for him, nothing. So I called Rick (the guy who initially got me interested in the program) on his cell phone and explained to him I was not getting a response. He said he would call Mike. Two days went by, I didn't hear anything, I called Rick again and only got his voicemail and left a message. On that 2nd day I received a call from a woman named Wendy stating she wanted to schedule me for my first foundation class. I told her I was already scehduled but she stated I was not in the computer so I told her I would call Mike. I only get Mike's voicemail, so I left a message.

He called me back and states he had not entered my information in the computer but would do it that day. I get a call from Wendy the next day stating my class had been canceled and I would have to pick another day and time. That was fine. I asked Wendy how should I prepare for my first class and she stated she had sent me emails explaining everything. I didn't not receive any emails. She stated that she would resend them, I never got them, she sent them again I never got them. Then when I called her I only got her voicemail.

So I called someone in customer service explained to them what had been happening and asked if they could sent it to me, and a lady named Juilann sent them. All this time I remained in good spirits, not sweating the small stuff, but I am noticing that this company is unorganized and I'm getting the run around alot.

On week five I finally took my first class, and was extremely disappointment. These classes were simple word for word regurgations of the books and cds sent to me. There was nothing new. At that point I knew this program was not the picture I had been drawn. Yet, I still felt there may be hope, my "mentor" was Irene B. The class was on Wednesday, I called her the next day and only got her voicemail, I also sent her an email. Nothing. Okay I'll give her until Monday. Monday, nothing.

Tuesday, I began calling the list of extentsion Irene had recommended. The first guy X255, he actually picked up his phone, I began explaining to him how I'm seeking one on one mentoring and he quickly stated, "You need to speak with Irene" without another word he tranferred me to her voicemail. I hungup redailed the main number and went on to the next extention. Barbara picked up her line, we began speaking and although she was very sweet and pleasant when I asked what her title was, she stated,"I write the success stories for the company." What!

At that moment I knew there was no one on one mentoring and that there is no team of wealth builders at the top of their game available to me. At that point I knew I was no longer interested in continuing with the program.. I called customer service and waited on the phone 17 minutes until someone finally answered, I explained the situation to her, she that I could not cancel the program. I asked to speak with her supervisor "Kim French" whom was unavailable, so I left a message.

I invested over $8000 into this company and what was sold is not being practiced. I am no longer interested in dealing with this company any longer and I want a refund of what I invested. I am a fair person. Please Help!

Did the coaching, and...

I bought the mentoring program for over $6000. I was a couple years out of college and between jobs and I wanted build a future for myself. I should say outright that I didn't have any of the administration problems that many people seem to be commenting on. The staff was generally prompt and responsive and my coach was available with a few reasonable exceptions. As for the coaching program itself--and I wish I had someone to tell me this prior to spending the money--is that it really seems to be geared toward people in their 40s or older. The whole program seems to implicitly assume that you have (had) a 401k with a bunch of money in it, or untapped assets, or equity that you could cash in somewhere. I had none of these thing since, as I mentioned, I was a couple years out of college and between jobs. One of the core principles of the LOL program and Loral's "message" is that there is always enough for everyone and that you can get what you need, and that abundance is possible regardless of your circumstances. This sounded pretty awesome to me. So I did the work. I did the coaching sessions, I built my plan, I mapped out a vision statement and an elaborate cash-flow model, I learned how to build a website on my own, and built it. On a typical day after 10 hours at work (by that time had a job at a real estate company) and other obligations, I'd go home, eat something, have an hour or two of exhausted "me" time, then work again til midnight. Then it came time for me to come up with the seed money. No 401k, no assets lying around, no home equity. My options: bum from friends or family, or get more credit cards (after nearly maxing 2 cards to pay for LOL). And hell if I was going to take on more bad debt. So I asked family and friends. No dice. She suggested a bank loan, but again, I really didn't have any assets so I couldn't offer collateral. I told my coach that I was having a really hard time getting money. This was my coach's time to shine and for the program to prove its worth. After all, the LOL program has an "anyone can do it in any situation" attitude. My coach recommended one organization that was defunct, and one that provided limited support to small businesses in the coach's state, but not in mine. After that, the coach's best advice? "Well, its technically against the rules to ask people on the LOL forums for money, but you should go and drop hints and see if anyone will fund you." So their best advice was to break the rules of their own company. In general, I found the course to be good for conceptualizing and planning, but when it comes time really to move it forward, I got very little input, very little advice, and no real resources. I guess I kinda of expected my coach to really help me push through, to give good, resourceful advice, and to have at their disposal a number of solid leads or possible solutions for me to work with. I mean, I told them at the outset I was newly out of college and didn't have any money, but they didn't seem to consider that a problem. In the end, I felt like I was sort of left adrift. So if you have a concrete way of producing the funds to build a cash machine, this program might help you get there. But college grads beware. In retrospect I REALLY wish i hadn't spent all that money on this course. I'd value it at around $1000, maybe $2000 tops for what they put into it and what I got out of it.

I used to work for Premier Mentoring as the receptionist/mail clerk/legal liability disclaimer resicion agreement discloser/class scheduler and filing cabinet engineer ;0) I can easily tell you this was the WORST job I had ever had. I worked there just over a month before I was fired. Premier Mentoring sells three Coaching Products. 'Option Hound', 'Laurel Langmeier' and something else. Laurel is their cash cow, however I once saw them take $20,000.00 from an elderly retired couple looking for a lucrative hobby. To be honest, I never got a definitive answer that the company was a scam. High pressure? Absolutely. The thing is, a lot of their sales people were nice guys with families to take care of and we all think of scammers as nondescript strangers lurking in the dark and sneering whilst on the phone with us don't we? I also can't discount that they weren't a scam.... if you could be a millionaire in one year why are you trying to sell me this product? Why haven't you purchased it and practiced it? Wouldn't you rather be living in a luxe beach condo rather than sitting in a cube farm with harsh fluorescent lights and red bull on tap? In the end though, I was horribly abused by my superviser. I'm not naming names, but I believe you did. The abuse was so substantial in fact, that I called DWFS the same day. James Cordova of the HR department called to talk to me and he suggested I submit a formal complaint to them. He called me back and informed me that my allegations had been substantiated and he couldn't go into details but that Ms. French was no longer holding a management position. Here's the interesting part: This all happened in March 2006, so unless you've delayed posting your complaint things don't add up to me....... This might seem personal, but this complaint contradicts what this company has told me, and a company that is full of as many contradictions as was in my complaint I filed HR can not be integrous.

I was in the same "class" !!

#7Consumer Comment

I was in the same class. I was surprised to read this and have all of the same issues. But here is the interesting thing. The gentleman above paid over $8000 for his class, I only paid just under $5000 for mine. Why? At the time I was financially strapped for money but was told by the "sales person" with the company that the One on One Mentoring would be worth it and they even tried to help me with ideas to get the money including selling my truck to finance the program, which I actually tried to do. Thank goodness my truck didn't sell becuase I am still using it and need it daily. But I took out a small loan at my credit union to finance half of this program and put the rest on my wife's credit card. Well just like the guy above said, it was a complete "word for word regurgations of the books and cds sent to me." I could have conducted that stupid class myself for all that was done! Just read the powerpoint slide show and give the class the next homework assingment. What happened to the one-on-one mentoring that I was desparately looking for to help me increase my business income. That was their sales pitch to me was the One-on-One Mentoring program that would take my business to the next level. I contacted the company after the program was done and told them that I was very unhappy with the program and that they should not market the way that they do. that it is deceptive and wrong. Do you think i got a response? No way.

I have worked with the company before and have gone through two of their programs from a consumer standpoint (Loral Langmeier and Top Trader) I found the company to be highly ethical and what I liked best was there fullfillment process. I was very successful in both programs and my support throughout the program (over a year) was the key to my success. On the otherhand, I have seen people dropout and get disgruntled, albeit very few. They were either unwilling to work for a end result and had a failure mentality or they simple failed to take responsibility for their actions. These people are typically the ones that always point blame, look for excuses and continue to blunder through life to their dismay and the chagrin of others. This company does not practice dishonesty, unfair business practices or the like. They are agruably one of the preeminent names in the business. And after considedring they have successfully trained thousands of success stories a few on your website is statiscally insignificant. There is NO FREE LUNCH OR GET RICH QUIT!! Wealth is acumulated through prudent principles and stradegies. If you do not know what to do, admit it, get the help and guidance and pay the price for success and quit complaining because you live in mediorcity. Alan Falls Church, VA
