Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was there for scheduled service. The service has been good before 2/24/06 which is why I was there. I was told my tires only had 3/32 tread left. I asked how much to put the same kind of tire on because I had gotten 50,000 miles on the tires that came with the car. Scott Collins quoted me a price of over $718. I told him no way. I can go to Tire Rack, Townefair, or a mail order house and get a better price. In fact I pulled out my cell phone while I was talking to Scott Collins and had Cory on the phone from Tire rack all at the same time. I got a price from Cory for $538 dollars if I drove up to Windsor Connecticut and picked them up and paid for the installation myself. That price was a whole lot better for me.

Scott decided to match the price. I had a Premier Truckload Tire Sale advertisement in hand that included mounting, balancing, computerized alignment, and the exclusive low price guarantee. I agreed to purchase the tires from Premier. My final bill came to $776.49. I told them that I know all tire dealers have a charge for disposal of the old tires. There is a person named Barbara Mullen who is posted as a go between the customer and dealer to handle complaints. I told her the whole matter but the net result is the dealership is not moving in their position. I think that the dealership has a policy of supporting a policy of, "OK, you lie and I will swear to it that the lie is true."

The dealership has a flawed service department in that I told them that they replaced my cabin air filtration filter and that was not on the bill when I was ready to ring out. They thanked me for my honesty and then gouged me on the price of the tires. They in effect charged me labor for putting the tires on the car which they said accounted for the over $776.49 bill I had to pay. I would advise others to not purchase tires from Premier Subaru in Branford.

As when you were at our dealership, we welcome the opportunity to always show you why you made a good decision by having our company do the work you requested.   Your commentary concerning our employees isn’t correct, nor appropriate.  Our team has been assembled for many years and truly cares about exceeding the expectations of our customers.  We have a long line of clients that appreciate what we do – and, how we do it.   From the beginning, while you were in the dealership, your assertions were wrong.  We  expected these posts as, you threatened to post negative information on the internet when you didn’t get your unreasonable demands met.  We have complete documentation in this regard and, will certainly provide it to anyone who makes an inquiry.  This includes the complete the full disclosure of the charges of which you executed and, your acknowledgment on the repair order.  From your Carfax vehicle history report, it is evident that you haven’t been loyal to any one service provider.  We have many people that are loyal to us as we truly care and respond to their needs.  Our company also has an immediate policy to correct any mistakes that we make.  In this case – we simply didn’t make any.  At this point, you may email our owner directly (there is a portal right on our website called “Tell It To Bob” and he would be happy to answer any question.

I figure I was over charged by @$120 dollars. I paid with a credit card. Rip off reports has some steps to get the company to pay up. I am going to follow some of those steps.

You have taught me that you and your employees can not be trusted to tell the truth. Our family will be purchasing a new Subaru To replace another vehicle we own. I will give you three guesses where we will not be purchasing it from. The first two guesses do not count.

We believe that this report is very unfair.  It should be made clear that the Premier invoice quoted by the customer included tire mounting and balancing, disposal, an all-wheel alignment, cabin air filter, as well as state sales tax.  The customer is not comparing apples to apples, since, the $538 tire price quoted in his post was merely the cost of the tires (F.O.B. Windsor Warehouse) by Tire Rack.

Premier Subaru is a long time preferred TireRack installer and BBB A+ Rated/AAA approved facility.  Tires purchased by Tire Rack just include the tires – and, no additional services for mounting/balancing or the all-wheel alignment.  We provided the customer with the reduced pricing for installation, as posted on the TireRack website, along with an additional AAA discount.  Based on every day low price philosophy, this met the prices for the tires as the customer was quoted by Tire Rack.  The customer’s final invoice reflected additional – customer approved services, as well as sales tax.  This work was all authorized by the customer.  The customer is unfair in stating that labor should not have been charged for the mounting/balance and the all-wheel alignment.  If the customer had, in fact, driven to Windsor, CT to pick up the tires from Tire Rack, the cost of installing those tires, as well as any alignment and/or disposal charges would be assessed.  This is one of the reasons why Tire Rack has vetted companies, such as ours, to complete the service work.

The customer received more than $199 of regularly priced services for just over $137.   The final bill quoted by the customer in his report is inclusive of sales tax and all fees.  The customer benefited by working with us – more then by purchasing directly by Tire Rack – since the end result was a four wheel alignment for a mere $50.

The customer made a good decision purchasing from Premier Subaru as, not only did our installed tire package price include an all-wheel alignment, but, it also includes our 30 Day Low Price Match Guarantee for additional price protection.

We remain willing to review these charges – line by line – with the customer to ensure his satisfaction.
