Our experieince was similar to that of another report. For spending 2 hours listening to a pitch for a vacation resort package, we were promised 2 roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in continental U.S. The promoters paid Premium Incentives for the flights as part of their advertising.

I filled out the application & sent it in, with a money order for "processing fee," to Premium Incentives. (The fact that they insisted on a money order rather than check or credit card seemed odd.) Perhaps due to press of time, the money order was made out for $7.59 instead of $7.95, a 36-cent error I didn't see before sealing the envelope & mailing it. Over 2 months later, my application form & money order were returned with a form checklist indicating that because the amount was wrong the application is void & cannot be resubmitted.

I suspect this outfit finds ways to refuse applications so as to keep for its own use the tickets or money or whatever they get from the promoters who use them.

I'm in the process of being ripped off!

I'm in the process of being ripped off. On another scam website people are talking about filing a class action suit. I received an email today for my 'free cruise' where now I am expected to pay $400 a person (the price of Carnivals 5 night cruise) to go. Then I'm told that it is all fees and that the cruise is free. Convenient how the cruise fees add up to cover the cost of the cruise itself. 90 of that is taxes...

I get we would have to pay taxes (even people who win prizes do that). I actually figured out it is cheaper for me to just pay for the cruise via Carnival (and I don't have to deal with the money orders) then get my non-existent 'free cruise'. They stated that the cruise isn't free. When I told them I had the mailing that said free cruise they asked me to send it to them and then in the next line say that that isn't from them. Uh...then why do you want it?

I also got 2 free flights....huh....guess I'm waiting for the email that says I owe an additional 300 on top of the 150 I've already sent them.  Unless they make good on their promises, I plan on joining the class action suit they are getting together....who else wants in?

So...feel better. Even without the error, you'd still be dealing with the 'free cruise' or airline tickets that aren't free at all. Sadly...I can even find them cheaper online. Maybe I should be working for a travel agency if I can find them cheaper. I'll let you know their responses as I continue attempting to make them hold up their end of the deal.
