Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Dorothy Webb is very erratic with her emotions when dealing with people, swearing and screaming on the phone , changing her story, and not listening very good. I sold her a puppy whose papers were slightly delayed through the  AKC and she accused me of everything under the sun, and even threatened me with the FBI, criminal justice department, etc. The puppy she bought from me is going to be used for breeding,(the dog she said had no papers), by the way he is fully registered.

After selling her the puppy she informed me she only keeps her dogs until they can no longer breed and then gets rid of them, i think that is shameful , what a cash cow. I NEVER WOULD HAVE SOLD HER THIS PUPPY knowing that, just because the dog cant make you any more money, doesnt mean it is right or time to get rid of them...After doing further research on Dorothy Webb she used to sell shih tzus, Where are all of those dogs now?

One of the many DEFINITIONS OF A PUPPY MILL: A place where dogs are kept exclusively for breeding, and once the dogs can no longer breed and earn a profit, they are disposed of and replaced.

Do not buy from this breeder!! It seems all Dorothy Webb is trying to do is make a quick buck at the expense of our furry family members. Please do your research and ask question when buying or selling a puppy you can even ask for references.

Sincerely,

Michelle H******

Let's Just Deal with the Facts

First of all one has to question why you continue posting lies and innuendos against me.  Your initial posting meets the legal benchmark for libel since it not based on any fact and is done with the malicious intent of getting even for my earlier complaint about you.

Just as Ms Horvath seems to miss the point of why a customer who paid $2230 for a registered dog would be unhappy when, instead of receiving those papers with the dog, was at various times lied to, ignored or verbally abused, she misses the point that her high volume, internet-based breeding business probably comes far closer to meeting the definition of a "puppy mill" than my business with just 2 breeding females.

But unlike Ms Horvath, I will stick to the facts:

1.  Your puppyfind.com ad that I responded to on 1-19-2014 claimed that my dog was AKC registered.  However, the dame, Tojas TS1317502 was not even registered with the AKC until 4-14-14 - Transaction # 20140407003001013.  The litter itself wasn't registered until the following day - Transaction # 20140415007000825.  (and no, merely having the transfer of ownership from the dam's litter does not constitute the dog being registered, the AKC does not consider a dog as registered until you submit it's individual registration application and fees).  This by definition makes your ad misleading, if not fraudulent, merely to entice sales.  I would not have purchased this dog if you had been upfront about these facts.

2.  While you don't seem to understand why me as a buyer would be upset on not receiving the registration papers and health records I paid for at the time I received my puppy, as an experienced breeder of 12 years, you should know this is what AKC regulations state in regards to shipping a dog:

"If properly completed AKC papers are not supplied with the dog when it is shipped or delivered to someone else, the person delivering or shipping the dog must furnish with the dog to the person acquiring it a bill of sale or other signed memorandum giving all of the identifying information listed below.  A PROMISE OF LATER INDENTIFICATION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

For a Dog Not Yet Individually Registered:

  • breed
  • sex and color and markings
  • date of birth
  • litter number
  • names and numbers of sire and dam
  • name of breeder
  • date sold or delivered"

3.  There were only 3 puppies in this litter, yet 2 of those 3 buyers were forced to submit complaints to the Ohio Better Business Bureau in order to have Ms Horvath/ Tipping Point Farm deliver in full what they had paid for:

http://www.bbb.org/cleveland/Business-Reviews/dog-breeders/tipping-point-farm-in-wakeman-oh-92008136/complaints#breakdown

4.  I posted my positive update to my initial complaint as a gesture of good will when I finally did receive my registration papers a full 68 days after I took delivery of my puppy.  In retrospect, considering Ms Horvath's continued attempts to harass and bad-mouth me, I now stand by my original assessment of her as a breeder and businesswomen:

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A PUPPY FROM MICHELLE HORVATH/TIPPING POINT FARM.

Any further libelous postings by Ms Horvath will be met with a legal response.

First off, we don’t have 5 or 6 breeding females like you have been stating. Did you by chance take time to look at their ages? My oldest female, “Cheese” whom is my very first pug, is 11 years old and hasn’t been breeding for years, even though she is unable to breed she still has a well-deserved spot of our website. In addition to that, Moon is 8 years old and lives with my daughter and granddaughter. She is also retired from breeding due to her age, but does this mean I am unable to post pictures of my dogs on my website? Where are your Shih Tzu’s DOROTHY? You had me fly your puppy, you did not come pick up your puppy by choice. We welcome anybody to come out to our home and visit and see the dogs. I only fly my pugs through United Pet Safe and only places in the inland United States. There is nothing wrong with that. She calls me a bad breeder, but she will be using the dog that I bred and Sold to her as her stud. And if you look her rebuttal and I am quoting Dorothy Webb:

“I received all the papers that Michelle Horvath said she advertised on her 1/19/14 white puppy advertisement.  I am so pleased, a little late, but end result the same. Received the necessary AKC registration for this beautiful white pug and other said documents from Michelle Horvath via certified mail in the morning, and now I am very well satisfied. She helped me track the package down because it was MIA for a few days. Thank you Michelle Horvath....Now, I am a satisfied customer, and we can put everything behind us.  Thank you very much!”

– Dorothy Webb (Pretty Pugs of Texas)

Dorothy Webb... So what is it? Am I a good breeder or bad breeder… Send the puppy back if I am such a bad breeder… The puppy that I sold you has an outstanding pedigree and DNA TESTING throughout, micro chipping, and a health guarantee. Again, where are those Shih Tzu’s that you use to have Dorothy? How many stories are going to come out of your mouth before you shut it? And how many different names and emails do you have? Dorothy Webb, Dott Smith, Concerned, Diamond, etc. I find that highly suspicious that you have some many different names and emails. Go tend to you puppies and figure out where your Shih Tzu’s are.

Michelle

THIS IS A BAD BREEDER TRYING TO GET EVEN FOR MY COMPLAINT AGAINST HER

Ms Horvath's posting is nothing more than an attempt to get even with me for my earlier complaint regarding my business dealing with her earlier this year while purchasing a puppy.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/tipping-point-farm/parma-ohio-44129/tipping-point-farm-michelle-horvath-internet-consumer-frauddeceitful-unscrupulous-dog-b-1138858

The slight delay in getting the registration papers that Ms Horvath refers to was in actuality well over 2 months. During that time I was given an ever changing series of excuses as to why I had not yet received my papers. When after 2 weeks Ms Horvath began not responding to my calls and emails (which by the way did not include swearing or screaming, unlike Ms Horvath's messages to me), and after I discovered from the AKC that neither the dame, nor the puppies were even registered with that organization, I contacted the Better Business Bureau and the Ohio Attorney General's Office. I truly believe the only reason that Ms Horvath did eventually register the dame and litter, a full 4 months after the litter had been born, and over 2 months from the time I had received my puppy was because of the involvement of these organizations.

I also find it odd that Ms Horvath claims she didn't know I was a breeder when she charged me an extra $500 for full breeding rights.

Ms Horvath's claims of me running a puppy mill are laughable at best. I have 2 females and only have 2 litters a year. All my buyers come to my house to pick up their puppy and their registration papers in person. I do not ship my puppies.

Ms Horvath shows 5 breeding females on her website, plus the dame for my puppy. She is a high volume, internet breeder who constantly has puppies for sale online and available for sale to anyone with a credit card.

I'm not even the only buyer from this litter who filed a complaint with the Ohio Better Business Bureau, where Ms Horvath and her business have only a C+ rating.
