Priceline Name Your Own Price Is Terrible changed my date on me, will NOT fix mistake, wants to charge me extra Norwalk Connecticut
We used Priceline's Name Your Own Price and half way through the 'negotiating' process it changed my departure date to the next day, plus our flight will not arrive until late that evening. When I contacted Priceline about their mistake they told me they were unable to fix it, then came back and said they could for a $200 per ticket fee that would be refunded only if I re-purchased my flight through their name your own price option and then if I did get another flight approved (this is not guaranteed) there would be another charge of $30 per ticket for the new reservation. I do not understand this! This was a mistake on their part, not mine! We were already at the top of what we could pay for our tickets and that was stretching itself with that. Now I do not know what we will do. Our trip to Disney World is not longer oh so happy.

- If they changed your departure date "halfway" through the process why did you continue?
Not only that but at "halfway" through the process you won't know what time the flight leaves or departs..you don't get that until you complete the entire process. Oh and before you complete the entire process unlike other sites that just have you click to continue. They actually force you to enter your initials that says that the dates and your bid is correct as well as saying you have READ, UNDERSTAND and AGREE to the terms. These terms include that you could be traveling as early as 6AM OR as late as 10PM.
Sounds like you may have started your vacation early and think you are in Fantasyland. You are actually very lucky they are allowing you to have a "do over", but they are not responsible or have anything to do if you can or can not afford a higher priced flight.
I will just say that the name your own price sites are great and you can get a good deal. But you are responsible for making sure that what is being submited is what you think. And IF you have any special requirements, such as arrival or departure time, these Name your Own sites are not for you. But that does not make them a RipOff.
No I do not work for this or any other travel company, but have used them on occasion with good success.
