I used the priceline.com iphone application by inputing my on my travel route the next city that I will reach. Based on pricelines recommendations, the hotel was 80 miles away, and I figured that is a great distance to travel before resting. I clicked book now, and the booking was confirmed.
Not even 1 minute later, I take the address of the hotel, and plug it into the gps, do I see that the hotel is 80 miles in the wrong direction from where I was heading. I called customer support who was not helpful one bit. They refused to refund my money, and could only recommend that I cancel and get a penality fee for the price of the hotel stay.
I had called the hotel, who was very understanding. They cancelled from their end the room, and said that priceline.com would be the only one to refund the money. I called priceline.com once more to be asked to cancel my reservation, and pay a penality of the total amount of my room booking. This is a scam, and theft of my money. I can understand a "restocking" fee as to speak, or 10%, etc.. but to take 100% of the money they are crooks. I will never use priceline.com and will be submitting an offical complaint via BBB next.
