"You assumed. Did you bother to mapquest it to see where exactly it would be?" You put in an area. They give you a list of areas IN that area. Supposedly. You shouldn't have to mapquest it. "When you place a bid, you enter into a contract. If you win the bid, you have to honor that contract. You did not do your research before entering this contract. I'm betting you didn't read the terms and conditions of service either. " It took me over 2 hours to get through just half of that thing. And even after that I still understood less than 1 percent of that. It is written by lawyers, for lawyers, in lawyer mumbo jumbo..so regular people don't wanna go through the hassel of reading 4 hours worth of crap they cant understand, and just agree to it without reading. That is what they want, so they can screw you. "When you put in your destination and dates you'll be there in Priceline, they gove you many different options of hotels before they ask for your credit card information." You put in your dates youll be staying. You put what area you want. THEN on the next page it tells you "Priceline will immediately charge your credit card the total cost of your stay." Which it didn't say...Hey tell us the area you want (which we will get wrong), the dates you want..give us your credit card information..and once you hit accept, if someone takes your price we won't tell you first, we will automatically book it, charge you, and refuse to fix the problem when we do screw it up. You dont know what your getting before they charge you. You don't get a list of anything. They just book it and charge you and that is it. " I'm going to guess you went for the lowest price available and you were going to get what you paid for. This is no rip off. You need to learn to research more." It IS a rip off...they do it that way because they know how many people are going to make honest to god mistakes...and there laughable customer service could care less. Maybe you should of researched more. When something like this happens to you, I hope no one tries to understand and you get as screwed over as this lady.

"I placed a bid on a hotel, assuming it would be in the area near Sherman Oaks, where the doctor and hospital are." You assumed. Did you bother to mapquest it to see where exactly it would be?
