Good afternoon, I am writing a response in regards to Eric Bordeaux who has been threatening our company for no reason. I have recruited Eric to come work for us as a company driver. I explained everything to him from A to Z, how we reimburse up to a $150 on their way of transportation. I told him from the very beginning that we work on 1099. He never mentioned anything about the W2. When he came into the office we welcomed him very nicely, offered him some water and coffee. We started on the paperwork and I told him as soon as he is done we will go do the drug test and we would take him there. I told him to bring me the receipt from the drug test place and we would reimburse him on the first paycheck. He has been writing that he spend money on the Grey Hound bus and on some plane ticket and on a taxi cab.
When I asked him to show me the receipt for the bus and to give me the cab receipt so we can at least help him out with something when he said he paid $120 (which is not true, it can’t be more then $30 from the bus station) He told me that it is online and he will send it to me. He had no receipts to be presented to me. How are we supposed to know how much he paid so we could reimburse him? He didn’t have any proof of anything. During orientation he kept on cutting us off and not letting us talk. We told him everything about the deposit and about all the fees during orientation. He is saying the deposit was huge? The deposit was a $1000 and it is split in 3 parts. Also we explained to the drier that if he decided to leave, he needs to give us two weeks’ notice and return the truck in the same condition to the same place, we would return the deposit to him 100%. We do not need this money to run our company.
Our company has an office where we meet and recruit our drivers. There are no trucks here and there are no drivers here, because our yard is located about 40 miles from us. After the driver goes through the orientation we have someone who drives them to the yard. There is nothing fishy about not having a yard right by the office. We are a real company who has been in business for 14 years. We are fair to our drivers and we treat them very well. Lots of drivers who have left out company just to try something different, all of them come back, because we give them the most work and the most satisfaction here. They say it is their home and they feel that they are treated like family.
Eric Bordeaux has been threating us with different things, that he is going to sue us and he is going to go to immigration and write lots of reports. The driver did not have proof of any spend money. He told us he took the Grey Hound bus and never represented us a receipt. In his report he wrote that he spend $326.56 on a flight, when he told us that he took the bus. He has been writing us threatening emails and insulting our staff. He mentioned that we called him as FBI. That would never happen. We would not be doing anything illegal in our company. We have proof of all the emails he send us with threats and insults.
We are a fair company and we answer all the questions that our drivers have. We tell them everything they need to know. Phone calls, emails, text messages, anything that they need. We call our drivers all the time to check on them to see how they are, to see if there is anything they need. We tell them we appreciate them all the time and try to help them out with anything that we can. We are a REAL and FAIR company, and we treat our drivers like family. We make sure, that they get home on time, paid on time, and happy all the time.
