The apartment complex that I live in (the Timber Links at Denton) recently switched to Primecast and I agree with you that their internet service is nowhere near as fast as advertised. The brochure from Primecast said that the internet speed was supposed to be 10 mgps (or 10,000 kbps) for uploads and 2 mgps for downloads. My average download speed is more like 5000 kbps and my average upload speed is about 2500 kbps. It seems to be getting slower and slower every day. In addition to being much slower than expected, Primecast's internet service is really unreliable and it cuts out all of the time. I've only had my cable and internet subscription for about a month now and I've lost my internet connection several times. Usually it comes back within a few minutes, but there have been three times where it's been out for several hours. Once, it was out for almost a whole day. I have called Primecast's customer service line repeatedly, but all they can do is tell me that their people are working on it and that someone will be out to fix the problem as soon as the next technician is available. I've had some issues with Primecast's cable service too (for example, the TV freezes on certain channels for several minutes and then you end up missing a big chunk out of whatever show you were trying to watch). The worst part is that Primecast is the only service provider that the Lynd Company (the company that manages this apartment complex) will allow the residents here to use. If we could choose our own provider, we could get much faster and much more consistent service for a better price.

...but if no one was in our Broadstar trailer (Sarasota, FL) our complaint calls went to their offices in New Jersey. Now that Primecast is in charge, I can only tell you that the phone number and billing address stayed the same, at least initially. As my husband has taken over making these calls I can't give current information.

I have BroadStar Communications and they are located here in NJ. I am happy with their service. I think these reports are for a different company -- there seem to be a number of different "Broadstars".
