Primerica doesn't exactly lie to you, and isn't really a scam - but it's definetly not what you expect and is a MAJOR waste of time. Ripoff Maitland Florida*UPDATE: Primerica recognized by Rip-off Report a business opportunity well worth considering - it's not for everyone but many representatives make solid commission incomes. Primerica takes appropriate action against representatives conducting themselves improperly, pledges 100% commitment to customer service.
I was at work when the Primerica employee came up to me and did the sales pitch. "I'm expanding MY new business and was just wondering if you would like to be apart of it. Earn more money, work less hours, etc." Of course that sounds fine and I went to the interviews and went so far as to even get hired.
Primerica is pretty much what everyone has already said:
- When you ask questions you get EXTREMELY vague answers.
- Endlessly, they tell you how much money you can make if you stay with them, and show you books, magazines and large numbers.
- The only way to get promoted is to hire more people, and you get commission off of other people's sales. Thus, working like a pyramid and they always want to you try and hire people.
- They're VERY pushy about the %199 fee. (at least they were for me and IT DOES go to Primerica, I KNOW I wrote the check and now I'm getting a refund)
- They say their not salesmen but THEY ARE.
- THey want you to endlessly badger your friends and family to either get hired or for work.
YOU NEED TO REMEMBER: Primerica isn't a scam. They're completely legit and are everything they say they are, and never once lied (at least to me). I met a lot of nice people that worked there, and I just believe this isn't the type of job most people are looking for.
