Primerica Questionable contact for training Woodbury Minnesota*UPDATE: Primerica recognized by Rip-off Report a business opportunity well worth considering - it's not for everyone but many representatives make solid commission incomes. Primerica takes appropriate action against representatives conducting themselves improperly, pledges 100% commitment to customer service.
I received a telephone call from Primerica. In fact, I am about to retire from 32 years in college teaching Sociology ( including Criminology). I initially expressed interest. After hearing the speil about Citicorp and Primerica expanding with lots of opportunties in the Twin Cities area, I asked how they had found me, thinking the self identified "corporate head hunter" had heard about my reputation in this community. I got a rather evasive answer..."from a list."
There was no discussion of anything personal in regards to experience, past training or skills..no talk of sending in a detailed resume prior to the "evening meetings'.Nor was a specific description of the job offered.
It is very difficult to talk directly with a human being when trying to get back to Primerica. One gets the impression one is talking to telemarketers in a "boiler room" . This creats the impressionof a "go- go " atmosphere.
Had I continued on with this, I wonder if I would have ever been able to commuicate directly to the interviewer that one of my major motivations in any second career is honesty, integrity, and the need to participate in a socially beneficial company. In fact, I am quite well informed about financial planning. I took a course years ago, and the intructor impressed upon me the ethical importance of a professioanl financial planner...not to create a conflict of interest by selling products.
On this ground alone, Primerica fails the sniff test. There are enough questions her ( at this site) to pass on this "opportunity." Selling licenses like this is unethical.
