I have been looking for a job for a few months now and can sort of pick up on shady sounding companies. I got a call about an entry level sales and marketing position. I eagerly returned the call being told I would work as an account executive doing market research, campaign development, etc. That was it! The lady just asked if that is something I would be interested in and I said yes and she right away said ok can you come in for interview tomorrow. That was quick I thought. I asked her the name of the company she said New York Partners.
After I got off the phone I began to search for this company but could not find anything. Then I searched the address she gave me and I saw this other company Universal Online Promotions. I knew it sounded familiar so I checked it out here on ripoffreport.com and found plenty of reports. I thought it can't just be a coincidence that these two companies are at the same location, right? But I still wasn't 100 percent sure until I saw in of the reports against Universal. Whoever posted it had posted the email from the company and at the bottom I noticed the phone number which was the same as the one I was told to call for New York Partners!!!
Thanks to all the previous reports I will be sure not to go on this interview. But for all of you beware of the name New York Partners its the same company!!!
