Pro Tree Service Chattanooga Michael McClendon Prepaid for work, never showed up, big scam Chattanooga tennessee
Pro Tree Service in Chattanooga, TN was asked to come and give an estimate to remove 2 extremely dangerous trees in my side yard next to my driveway. Michael came out and gave a reasonable price and I agreed. He said he needed 50% payment upfront which was $750 so I paid it. I thought he was a very nice guy and a true professional.
He claimed the job would be completed in 3 days. I said thats fine.
One week later, I tried calling and his son answered and said he was out of town. I have tried calling numerous times with no luck. It has been over one month since I paid him. I have consulted with my lawyer and will take necessary steps to recover my money.
Please stay away from this individual. He is a total scam and I hate to see others getting ripped off.

As owner of Pro Tree Service for over 21 years I have always ran an ethical business.
I do what I say I will, and don't do what I say I won't. Period.
This poster is suspected as a competitor we have had issues with as we bid lower and win many jobs we compete on.
But, YOU don't know that.
All you read is a horrible report and my attempt to explain it away. In reality I cannot PROVE what he is saying is wrong and a lie.
What I CAN give is a response I WOULD GIVE if this incident happened to me. ie. A man came to my house and talked good, I gave him $750...which never happens...and he never showed up to work or answer the phone.
If this happened to me in real life.....I WOULD CALL THE POLICE. As it is a crime to defraud anyone, and it's considered theft. In Chattanooga many people have been sent to prison for this same thing.
Next, I would file a report with the BBB, as they are a local, upfront business locally...that can hold more creditability than ripof report.com. This site has been sued multiple times and is seemingly a criminal organization in that it's suspected they CREATE reports to extort money from business owners as myself. The Better Business Bureau sends out reports to the businesses and the complaintant....and resolves the issues. They also refer to make police reports and file charges in cases claimed by this LIAR.
And first and foremost...WHO GIVES A $750 deposit...cash...to anyone.....BECAUSE they seem nice...and trustworthy ?????????????????????? NO ONE.
I have NEVER asked for deposits in 21 years...and I never will. There is very little overhead in tree work....we don't NEED money upfront.
I have contacted ripoff report.com to ask to provide PROOF before accepting lies.....they notified me they can help in the resolution of this....for $3500.
It would still be on record though, and if another liar posted tomorrow....it would be ANOTHER $3500. So, I will let my record stand for itsself of 21 years.
I have worked for many Judges, Attorneys, Police Officers, Doctors, 2 senators, a Governor, 3 well known Actors, and a wholeeee plethora of people.
Our name and reputation stands for itsself.
KEEP YOUR LIE. IT WILL TAKE MUCH MORE THAN THIS TO GET MY HACKLES UP.
All of our work is on Contract. A very specific 3 part contract. Not one second of work is performed UNLESS a contract is in effect.
Here's an idea. You COULD have made up a much better lie. This one requires PROOF. And, if/ when I find out who you TRULY are....I will sue the daylights out of you.
