Proformance Unlimited I purchases a very bad motor from them main thrust bearing had a all thred and nut on it. crapy build. Internet, New Jersey
Please do not buy a motor from them!!!! Steve did nothing less than lie to me all the way through the transaction. I bought this motor 3years ago. sound like a long time ago but this was going in to an ultra nice 67 mustang gta.with over 40k invested and it has taken time to complete. steve their salesjurk wouldn"t know the honesty if it looked him in the face(fact) THIS MOTOR NEVER MADE IT 400 MILES! iT RAN HOT FROM THE FIRST DAY TO ITS LAST. THE OIL PUMP WENT OUT OF IT. SMOKED BADLY AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTED DRIVES. THE FARTHES i GOT WAS 30 MILES AND THE TEMP WAS OVER 220 DEGREES. THE PISTONS AND VALVE HAVE HEAVY OIL COATING ON THEM. iCALLED STEVE FOR HELP AND GOT TREATED LIKE A DUMB a*s FROM MR. SALESJURK. HERE IS JUST A FEW LIES IE, FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY PROMISED TO SEND A VIEDO OF THE BUILD BEFORE THE MOTOR WAS SHIPPED NEVER HAPPENED. SALES JURK TOLD ME I HAD TO RUN A ELE FUEL PUMP ON IT BECAUSE THE MARCH UNDERSIZED PULLY SYSTEM WOULDN" FIT WITH A MACHANICAL FUEL PUMP. HE THINK EVERY ONE IS A DUMB a*s LIKE HIM. THE REAL FACT WHAT THEY SENT WAS A 1990 5.0 OUT OF A MUSTANG INSTEAD OF A 302. WHICH CANNOT USE A MACHICNAL FUEL PUMP. THE MIDDLE MAIN BEARING HAD A PIECE OF ALL THREAD IN IT WITH A NUT ON IT INSTEAD OF A MAIN BOLT. THE CYL. BORING LOOKED LIKE IT WAS DONE WITH A HAND DRILL (JUST MY OPINION. i CALLED STEVE TO REQUEST THE INFORMATION ON THE CAM SIZE SO I COULD ORDER A DIFFERENT CARB TO MAYBE HELP WITH THE COOLIN PROBLEM.WELL IT WAS OF NO SUPRISE TO ME BY NOW THAT ONCE AGAIN STEVE LIED TO ME AGAIN. MR. SMART a*s STEVE SHOULD LOOK ON THE END OF THE CAM. THE REAL CAM NOS. ARE ETCHED ON THE END AN WAS NOTHING CLOSE TO WHAT HE TOLD ME. I AM IN TOUCH WITH THE CAM COMPANY TO SEE IF THE HEAD SET UP EVEN COMPLIES WITH CAM MANF. SPEC'S. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNIG OF THIS COMPINES BS. THE LIST GOES ON AN ON. PS. DON'T USE THEIR SUPPLIED FLEX PLATES IN MY OPIONION THEIR JUNK. THIS IS WHAT I GOT FOR 10,000.00 DOLLARS. i AM REPORTING THIS ONLY TO PROTECT YOU THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY DONT CARE ABOUT JUST YOUR HARD EARNED BUCKS. PIC WILL BE AVAIL UPON REQUEST. (SOON)

i have had a couple things happen to my new 350 engine , minor things and steve has always taken care of them for me. now i have a leak in my oil pan and i no he will take care of this. i dont have a problem getting things done on my new motor when things go a little down hill. its not life and death, i think it is called stay calm and things will get done. this is what i do, dont bad mouth or blow up at people in business. dont get anywhere with that of attitude.

To Whom This May Concern,
In an effort to clear Proformance Unlimiteds name in this matter, we can only comment on a few items here because if this is really one of our customers who is going to be nameless here we have no record of anyone complaining about any oil pump failure, or excessive oil consumption problem. If there was a problem with regards to oil pump failure or excessive oil consumption, we would have made good on it if it was a manufacturing defect. The next few items that we will comment on are to clear up some miss described information this person is complaining about. An engine cannot cause overheating; only accessories like an improperly sized or clogged radiator, wrong cooling fan combination (Not enough CFM), wrong water pump, not having a ridged lower radiator hose, etc. The thread rod this person is describing could be a main bolt that has a threaded portion on the end of it, which is used to hold a rear sump oil screen. And if anyone else doesnt already know that a 1990 Mustang 5.0 is really a 302 engine designed the same way since the 1960s, just modified to accept a hydraulic roller camshaft and improved its rear main seal in the late 1980s. Since we do install a lot of March Performance serpentine kits, we do see once and a while that they will supply us with a kit for an early Mustang that requires us to eliminate the fuel pump due to the different applications it needs to fit.
