Progressive - A.Y Transport ripoff San Jose California
I recently hired national moving company to move from Baltimore, Maryland to Las Vegas. We found this rip off moving company over the internet. Our salesperson was Chris, we thought he was great at the time always available. We got our paperwork in the mail, the price was great, sighed everything, sent in the deposit. After all this we could no longer reach Chris by phone. We were told another person had taken over for him. The day of the move a truck pulled up with Progressive Van Lines on the side of it. We were told that our contract was naow with them. They changed our prices ( higher of course).
They repacked our items with their packing boxes, which in the end cost us $300.00 extra, after they were told not to use them by us. Two(2) days later we got a phone call stating that we were over 1100 LBS and that it would cost us another $500.00 -$ 600.00. I stated that I wanted to see the weigh in slip, I was told upon delivery I could. This all happened in June, by July we still had not received our stuff, we called, we got the same person everytime. We were told we could not speak to a manager or owner. Two months after our stuff was picked up we got a phone call that it would be there that weekend, it(they) never showed. When we did get it, half was missing, broken,including a 7 foot couch. We have filed a claim with them,but, this won't help. DO NO DEAL WITH ANT OF THESE COMPANIES!!!!!
