Yes, something is missing. The check for damages to my 91 Subaru and payment from progressive for our hospital bills. As far as farmer is concerned, it is a law group that told me they've never heard of any thing like this from an insurance company before. To keep things simple, I was insured with liability and uninsured motorist.
I was hit. Progressive as not paid on my claim. Progressive has until Oct. 11th 2012 at 12:01 pm to settle on this claim. If they do not, I will be filing a $20,000,000 USD class action law suit against them (progressive) in Knoxville, Tennessee. If progressive wants to act like school children, I will treat them as such, in court if need be.

Not quite sure what is missing, but there seems to be things missing from your story.
It's not like you have a Hit and Run where you don't have the other party. The car left, and according to the officer they switched drivers before they returned. If they just thought you were at fault, they would just deny your claim. To be under suspicion of fraud means that there is something more here.
Why did you get an attorney after only a couple of days? Unless Progressive had already given you an indication that there was going to be trouble that is a bit of an overkill. You then have the attorney who no longer wants to represent you because of the inquiry from Progressive. This is what attorneys do..they represent their clients. So either you have a bum for an attorney or they see something more in this case that you are not stating.
You also said that you gave a statement to Farmer. Is that Farmer's Insurance? If so how did they become involved? Is that the other parties insurance? If it is you(and your attorney) should be going after them.
How much is your claim for? And why don't you go after the party that hit you directly?
