I received a promotional certificate from a water treatment company as part of their incentive for purchasing a water softening system. The certificate promised a refund (up to $100) of 8 admissions to any theater and for 2 Large 2-topping pizzas at any pizza location.
I simply had to submit the required receipts and follow the Terms and Conditions. What really concerned me though was the fact that it required me to send a copy of my driver's license. "What reason would they need my license?" I attempted to call their customer service line and just got a recording and I left a message. No one called back. I researched the company online and saw many, many people with the same problem - no money - no company response.
I am concerned of not only being scammed out of my promised rebate, but identity theft from the information they will get from my driver's license. BEWARE! This is a BAD, BAD DEAL!!!!! Do not attempt to send any information to these people!
